Neo Posted November 29 Posted November 29 Here’s my view on Miami, and I say this with insight provided by a lifelong Dolphin fan I’m close to in addition to my 60 year experience with the rivalry. The Dolphins are a poorly constructed team, on the GM. The Dolphins are an undisciplined, predictable, unadvisedly aggressive team, on the coach. Tua is a narrow, skill set limited, QB who the team will over pay until and unless he goes down tragically. Miami is a world class city and a terrible football town. I came of age during the 0-20 decade. I miss their excellence. 1 Quote
FireChans Posted November 29 Posted November 29 The Dolphins haven’t been a rival in a long time. Division rival, sure. But we have one rival in the NFL and it ain’t the PHINs. 1 Quote
Strethor Posted November 29 Posted November 29 I find it so hilarious that the narrative has shifted as a fan you want your players to be laser focused on team building and playing football not Vegas, Miami party life Quote

You still consider them a threat? The only one that needs to stop is you... Tua's numbers were inflated this week by lots of garbage time. The narrative is that Tua cant play in the cold came true again this week. Miami has always struggled against the Jets, just like KC against raiders... and is 2 games out of the playoff picture let alone wont win the division. You need to stop... Quote

Honestly I feel pity for them because it's always the same thing...they play a good team, play in cold weather, play a prime time game and they get their doors blown off. Essentially, anytime the conditions aren't good and they are playing anything more than a mediocre team, they don't usually even look competitive. They have ruined the rivalry and I am actually angry at them for that. They are like your little brother that you know you will always win against when you play them. I mean, sure, every once in while they hit a lucky shot to win at the last second but most of the time the games aren't close and the result is already known. It just feels so weird after all this time to feel nothing for a team you grew up hating and have done so for 40 years... I hope they renew the rivalry at some point, because at this point it's dead. I take your points but you definitely need to be careful what you wish for. 1 Quote
Kaenon Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Being born in 1989, I have never viewed the Dolphins as a true rival. It's really just been the Pats for me. Anyhow, they both suck now and life is good 😆 Quote

Augie Posted November 30 Posted November 30 I think it’s the Dolphin’s turn to feel bad. I’m good with that. Quote

Most of it in garbage time with the game already decided. When he had chances to make plays in key situations he came up short...as usual. This is the same script as always for him in games like that. Tua puts up lots of stats but doesn't make many plays that actually win you games when it counts. Edited November 30 by Big Turk Quote

He was 37-46, you saying all of that is from the late 4th qtr? I get hating on the dolphins, I hate them too. But some of these reactions are just plain dumb. The dolphins defense isn't any good, neither is their Oline. Tua isn't the problem right now. Quote
