I realized while watching the game last night that I don't even hate the Dolphins anymore.

Honestly I feel pity for them because it's always the same thing...they play a good team, play in cold weather, play a prime time game and they get their doors blown off. Essentially, anytime the conditions aren't good and they are playing anything more than a mediocre team, they don't usually even look competitive.

They have ruined the rivalry and I am actually angry at them for that.

They are like your little brother that you know you will always win against when you play them.

I mean, sure, every once in while they hit a lucky shot to win at the last second but most of the time the games aren't close and the result is already known.

It just feels so weird after all this time to feel nothing for a team you grew up hating and have done so for 40 years...

I hope they renew the rivalry at some point, because at this point it's dead.

It is annoying...a team with 4 of the fastest players in the NFL should not struggle like this. Maybe it's Tua?  Maybe it's McDaniel?  Who knows but they are becoming irrelevant in our once solid rivalry.  I'm more concerned now with NE & Maye then anything else in our division.

No, f the Dolphins. Remember Jimmy Johnson stomping on a box of Flutie Flakes after their playoff win in 1998? Of them talking trash after they beat the Bills in the regular season in 1990?

Turk, you know I like your posts, but I live in Tampa with lots of Fish fans, and let them wallow in misery, like the Cheats and Jests.  The Jets could be on a 3yr path back to decency if Bezos buys the team as he has more than enough resources to turn the Jets around.

Im moving my rivalry to the Chiefs.  We’ve beaten them four times in the regular season, so I just want it this year finally in the playoffs.

Anyone of us who lived through the 70's will never not hate the dolphins.

Plus the Kelly/Marino rivalry was epic.

I watched last night's game with the same intensity as a Bills game. I want them to lose so badly.  I actually like Tua, but enjoy seeing him lose.

No.

I don't and never really hated the Dolphins.  I remember the losing streak of the 70s well.  But it's the obnoxious teams I truly dislike, and I guess I never found Miami to be obnoxious.  Now I am just quietly amused they've locked themselves into a beatable QB and coach for the foreseeable future.

At least wait a few years until we can mathematically even up the all-time regular season record against them.

I think I am in the minority but I've been relishing these home wildcard games against NE and Miami just because it sorta' helps make up for having losing records against them in the regular season.

The Fins are going to go through cap hell like you wouldn't believe. I think this was their last season to finally make a solid push and it's crazy to think how bad they've been this year.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if they sat in the cellar for at least a decade or two........you know, like the bottomless abyss that us Bills fans had to endure before McD, Beane and JA came to town.

I do miss the rivalry between the Bills and Fins between the 70's to the late 90's, but to everything, turn, turn, turn........there is a season, turn, turn, turn.......

I've watched a ton of games against the fish from their beginning. The best eraxwas Kelly-Marino 2 tough PA boys battling. Now there is an arrogance with the Dolphins that they can wallow in. They have mismanaged their roster construction and have a coach who everyone thinks is smarter than he obviously is. If we never lose to them again, it will not bother me at all.

Of course not,  rivalries are way over rated, its always best when your opponents start the game knowing that they are likely to lose, all this BS about want to play an opponent when they are at full strength is just plain stupid, see the third point above, 😁👍🍸🚬

GO BILLS!!!

I too was rooting for Miami. Not just to justify their own hype machine, but also to give Buffalo credit for consistently keeping them in check.

I’ve told this story before: My outlook completely changed when I spent about half an hour chatting with Don Shula in an airport a few years back. What shocked me was that he didn’t talk about their infamous decade long streak of domination. On the contrary, what he remembered was how the Bills had their number in the ‘90s. It taught me a valuable life lesson: losing sticks with you way longer than winning does.

It's funny he said that because that's why some coaches end up having burnout or medical conditions that cause them to retire because the wins become more of a relief when they happen and the losses become almost unbearable due to the level of success they have had and the levels of expectations.

They are not a threat and haven't been in a while. And that includes last year.

I generally support pump the brakes posts.   However, the Dolphins are less talented than almost everyone gave them credit for.
