About time they had to many big play mental errors at the end of games and were not developing the qb 

 

Caleb screwed up the last play yesterday but how are you not telling him quick play and timeout do not change the play 

 

or call the damn timeout after then run a quick play kick team before time runs out

That was an epic failure yesterday. Anyone involved deserves major criticism, especially the coach. Given everything else that has gone on, it would be criminal not to fire him.

seems the hard knocks guys this year are all going to get canned.  Have to wonder if zach taylor is next after the hard knocks afc north show starts this week.

 

if the bengals finish like 6-11 it has to be on the table.  They don't like to spend money in cincy though so I am not sure how many years are left on his deal.

Marvin Lewis coached the Bengals for 15 years with zero playoff wins.

It was horrible clock management on Eberflus' part but the QB has to have some awareness of the clock as well. I'd assume he's been playing the game for a few years.

Yes but it's a little different situation with the cost of the qb and wr there this time around.  Plus I think having hung onto lewis for so long and accomplishing nothing might be what motivates them to change. 

Again though, they are cheap and do not want to pay guys to coach in other spots when they fire them and they do not want to pay top dollar to a new head coach.  

 

Ben Johnson could step right in there it would seem though.  No idea how he will be as a head coach though nor does anyone else I guess.

Williams looked completely clueless.  The head coach should have called timeout as soon as he saw him changing plays but at the same time it speaks to how much williams lacks awareness.

Even a HS QB could have gotten the ball snapped earlier. That was as much on Williams as anyone. Especially for taking multiple sacks on final drive and missing crossing pattern that probably scores a TD. Eberflus is terrible but they did the right thing after the sack. Line up run a quick play to make the FG easier and call TO with 3 sec left. The only other option is to call an immediate TO. That would have left enough time to run a play and even if tackled in bounds run the kicking team out there for a kick.

Well they did want to save the timeout, and if Williams was checking out of the play…he probably realized too late what was happening.
