Declining the 5 yard penalty there is dumb. What if a player jumped offside? Or committed another 5 yard infraction? GB wanted the 5 yard defensive penalty because they’d probably go for it on 4th and 1. Don’t give them another down where they could get something flukey, push it back 5.

That red zone sequence was bad, but generally speaking I think McDaniel has called good games this year.

Teams are taking away the deep pass so he has countered with more runs, screens and short passes . (Which is the way to beat soft coverage)

Still there’s no reason why most of the dolphins plays are handoffs or behind the LOS. Teams play the bills the exact same way as the phins, two deep safeties most of the time, and we manage to throw beyond the LOS with worse

Agree, that made no sense.

Ya fair. They could probably have a bit more of a balance.

Teams play bills man coverage a ton though, the most in the nfl. Miami gets a ton of soft zone

To get the ball out of Tua's hands.  Josh can stand in the pocket, shake off an lineman, take a piss and then run for a first if he wanted to.  Tua needs to get rid of the ball within 2.5 seconds or he's usually cooked.

Jason Garrett talking about Tua sounds like Collinsworth talking about Mahomes. Can Tua do anything wrong?

Well he has led his team to 3 points thus far... so probably not

I'm all for the national media pumping Tua. The longer he's there, the longer the Dolphins aren't a threat.

He's actually the only reason they are a threat.

When was the last time he beat a team with a winning record?
