So when they show live shots behind the set, will they be showing more Lions jerseys or Bills jerseys in the crowd?  The announcers just kind of called out the Bills fans  as talking about Lions nation .

What does that last sentence mean?

Detroit fans are like Buffalo light. Unlike Bills fans, they fully hibernated during the drought they had. They have never been very visible or passionate as fan base historically but Detroit sports have been so bad in most regards the last 20 years.  Nowadays they're all in. They travel well and will pack that place. They want the image we have as far as passion to the bone, but I find them to be more fair weather.

With this said, it will be very loud and reasonably hostile (although I think they're fairly accommodating). I have acted like a d bag a few times there and didn't get my ass kicked.

I'm guessing more Lions fans considering it's a big home game for them. I cannot imagine Lions fans selling their tickets unless it comes with a very healthy profit.

The Lions season ticket holder, aka good friend I'm going to the game with sold his tickets for today's game for $1600 for the pair.

I remember my old man surprised me for the Thanksgiving game in 94 or 95 at Detroit. It wouldn’t have happened at these prices.

Gotta tell ya, I read this four times. What Lions-Bills game? I missed the network show, but why would there be Bills jerseys behind the desk?

The OP means THE NFL Today will be broadcasting live in Detroit for the Bills at Lions in a few weeks. He asked how many Bills fans vs. Detroit will be in the shots they show. He said the crew called out Bills fans today at the Chicago-Detroit game.

That came to mind after a few minutes. I was in the middle of being lost in the DET home game CBS coverage THIS morning and thought I Entered the Twilight Zone for a second. ….But the Bills aren’t playing the Lions right now..??!!

My "good friend" Lions season ticket holder can't make it to the Bills-Lions game, so he offered me his tickets at the friends and family rate of $1500 for the pair.  Too rich for me.

If I can't make it to a game in Buffalo I offer my seasons to friends either at face value or for free.  Not a fan of fleecing friends.

100%

either offer them to a friend at face value, or put them on stub hub and make some money.

To be fair, the Lions have been bad, really bad since Bobby Lane and the 1950s.

With the Bills, we had the Super Bowl years in many middle aged fans' memory.

Even during the drought, the Bills were pretty mediocre, even fun/competitive at times.  The Lions, since Barry Sanders, just hit rock-bottom repeatedly.

Sure, but I see the same thing with them with Michigan. Buffalos fandom and loyalty is just deeper and stronger. It matters more. To them, it matters but then when it ends it’s like it never happened. Characterizing sure, they have die hards, sure. Just different IMO
