Legend! Just this week, I re-watched Airplane for the first time in probably a decade (on Netflix) and still lol at parts! May he Rest in Peace and laughter,too!

We saw Airplane at the movie theatre when we were like 10 years old.

My buddy's old man who was looking after us at the time, took us to the movie and then snuck out to go to the track and bet on the ponies and just left us sitting there.

 

10 year old kids who didn't understand the jokes at all, but really enjoyed any and all of the breast scenes, i can tell you that.

Kentucky Fried Movie came out when I was in Jr. High.  For teen/preteen boys, Kentucky Fried Movie was the most talked about movie of the year.  

 

If there was a genius to Airplane!, it was the use of serious actors for 4 separate roles, as the article points out.  Their delivery was beautiful.  Ofc, the June Cleaver cameo didn't hurt.

Kentucky Fried Movie is still one of my all-time faves.......it's obscure and not many people know about it, but it was pure genius.

RIP. Thanks for all the laughs. My favorite Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker movie was "Top Secret" with Val Kilmer.
