Freddie's Dead Posted November 28 Posted November 28 Congratulations again to Week 11 winner @BuffaloMatt! A depleted 5-6 San Francisco 49ers squad will make the cross-country roady to take on the 9-2 Bills at Highmark. We all had this game circled on the calendar at the beginning of the season. Bills-49ers isn't a huge rivalry, but they were Berman's perennial Super Bowl matchup pick in the 90's, and who can forget the first no punt game? Unfortunately, this game does not look like any kind of classic, unless you consider a Bills lopsided blowout win to be classic. Was traveling this week to spend Thanksgiving with family, and wound up in the rental car line behind a 49ers fan. We started chatting, and he had a lot of nice things to say about the Bills. Understood that Diggs and Davis had to go, and he loved Josh Allen. I was joking around with him about tuning in the 49ers Packers game and finding that the 9ers had a #17 Allen at QB. Whaa? We also talked about the rash of injuries on the 9ers. Purdy looks doubtful to play, and if he does, he'll be far less than 100%. CMC is dinged up, and looked mortal against the Packers. The D doesn't look good, as the Packers chewed them up and spit them out. I think the Bills come out and put their stamp on this game quickly. The 9ers will be snuffed out by halftime, and will begin running to the buses in the 3rd quarter. entropyrules Posted November 28 Posted November 28 (edited) I don't get the optimism - Bosa will be back as well as the other injured players on the niners and with likely horrible weather conditions this game will be low scoring and close. Expect more than the normal number of fumbles with some freaky interceptions with receivers having difficulty hanging onto passes. BeavercreekBillsFan Posted November 28 Posted November 28 Fine, I’ll be the one to do it. Niners 24 bills 17. Purdy and Bosa are playing. Ward might even be back. If Trent Williams plays then that’s not good either. Until we prove we can beat a tough physical team that wants to pound the ball, I don’t like those matchups for us. Kittle is playing like the best TE in football too. Its up to Josh to keep the ball out of purdy and Shanahans hands 1 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted November 28 Posted November 28 Bills win their bye weeks but usually start out slow offensively, plus the weather being bad. Give me 20-10 Bills 1 Quote
Blackbeard Posted November 28 Posted November 28 Again, our horses are better than theirs (in sum) Bills 34 49ers 20 tis the year imo. 1 Quote
