BADOLBILZ Posted Thursday at 01:08 AM Posted Thursday at 01:08 AM This one. The Death Star set was another great one from that late 70's era but I chose this Sears exclusive because it was all about the great Cantina figures you couldn't get in stores and the Cantina scenes were probably the coolest part of the movie to us as kids. 1 Quote

Lincoln Logs very underrated and augmented my Fort Apache playset. Built all sorts of models, Revell and Monogram cars, ships, and planes, AMT model cars but Aurora monster models were the best. They also put out sports hero models...I remember building Johnny Unitas, Jim Brown, Willie Mays, and Babe Ruth. 1 Quote

Mattel had a number of variations on the injection molding toy. I got one on Christmas from 'Santa', 'She Who Must Be Obeyed' (mother) immediately confiscated it, put it in attic storage, and gave it to a family in the neighbourhood with slightly younger children. 🤔 'Santa' in my family was my father, who would hit Maxims (Hertel Ave.), Twin Fair, or I.D.S (Central Park), on the last night he worked before Christmas Eve. The three kids in the house were under strict orders NOT to go near his car in the driveway. One year, I saw him shoveling snow from the snowbank onto the car to obscure the view of the interior. 😁 1 Quote
