Ja'Marr Chase Zay Flowers George Pickens Garrett Wilson Brian Thomas Jr Are all ahead of Shakir in yardage and touchdowns, and all would get my vote for an AFC playoff spot over Shakir. I like Khalil Shakir. I also like James Cook. But if you want to give a spot to either of those guys, you have to tell me who you're taking out to make room for them, and I see lots of more deserving players ahead of both at their respective positions. Offense: Josh Allen James Cook Deion Dawkins Spencer Brown Khalil Shakir Defense: Greg Rousseau Christian Bedford Terrell Bernard Taron Johnson (forgot!) Not on my list: Ed Oliver, Matt Milano, Amari Cooper I think Oliver isn't having a very good year. Milano is great, but he's missed too much time to qualify. Transferring to a new team has not helped Amari, but he's still good. I just think there are better WRs based on this year's numbers. I do give him a lot of credit for playing hurt though. So who are your probowl caliber studs? Spencer Brown the whipping boy all off season? gonna be some big time crow eating if he makes the probowl. Edited November 26 by gordong Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Shocked so many have Dawkins. I think he's having his worst year ever. Seems like a lot of penalties as well. 1 Quote

All your guys are outside receivers. Shakir is 2nd in the NFL in YAC and Leads the NFL in YAC per reception for receivers with over 40 catches. He also leads NFL receivers in catch %. He is arguably the best slot receiver in football. AMcConkey has more receptions and yards than Thomas among AFC rookies. Sutton has outperformed Wilson and both have barely better number than Nico Collins who has played 4 less games. 1 Quote

The problem is that the Pro Bowl doesn't specifically designate separate spots for slot receivers or nickel corners. It should, but it doesn't. It's positional allocation is antiquated. If there were slot and nickel allocations specifically, Shakir and Johnson would both merit consideration. But there aren't. Edited November 26 by Logic Quote
TheyCallMeAndy Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Every year we pick like 12 Bills, then every year only 1 or 2 are actually selected as alternatives. Quote

I could make an argument for 10 or so WRs and he’s not one of them. That said, he’s a good WR and I’m happy to have him on the Bills. Quote

Maybe the pro-bowl only looks at yards and TDs, but a guy who is the best at his position should be in the pro-bowl and on the all-pro teams. Taron Johnson made the All-pro 2nd team last year and is the best slot corner in the NFL. Maybe it's time slot receivers get the same respect. Edited November 26 by GASabresIUFan Quote

Doc Brown Posted November 26 Posted November 26 It’ll be Mahomes, Burrow, and Lamar at QB. Josh will get snubbed again like last year. I guarantee it. Quote
Jauronimo Posted November 26 Posted November 26 I really hope zero Bills are attending the pro bowl this year. If 3rd alternate Josh Allen makes it again I will be disappointed. Quote

He’s not even close and if he wasn’t a Bill, then no one here would ever even mention him. Here’s a list of some other NFL WRs who play a lot of slot, many of whom can also play on the outside. Since all WRs are considered together, versatility should be considered a plus: Amon Ra-St. Brown Nico Collins CeeDee Lamb Keenan Allen Cooper Kupp Chris Godwin Jaden Reed Jerry Jeudy Jakobi Meyers Christian Kirk If you’re going to put him above that whole list, then you’re delusional. 1 Quote

Kelly to Allen Posted November 26 Posted November 26 (edited) Dawkins, and Spencer Brown Allen, Cook, Shakir Rousseau Bernard Benford Taron Reid Ferguson And Bass Bass had the kick of the year and kicks in Buffalo which is extremely difficult. I love bass don't care what you think lol 1 hour ago, Doc Brown said: It’ll be Mahomes, Burrow, and Lamar at QB. Josh will get snubbed again like last year. I guarantee it. That's not far-fetched at all. Lamar and Burrow are having better years than Josh statistically. Mahomes will get in because of what he's done in previous seasons. I would even bet Herbert as the 1st alternate over Josh. As for the entire roster I'll predict Dawkins (not that he deserves it, but O-line is based more on reputation) and T. Johnson. There's plenty of guys having good enough seasons to make the pro-bowl but without being dominant enough that the national media would be forced to put them on the team. Quote
RangerDave Posted November 26 Posted November 26 If Reid Ferguson doesn't make it this year, it's rigged! Quote
