I didn’t come up with this,  but interesting.

The Giants let Saquon leave.
The Titans let King Henry leave.
The Raiders let Josh Jacobs leave.

Those 3 teams are a combined 7-26.

Those 3 RBs are a combined 24-9.

Maybe (just maybe) elite RBs matter.

Interesting point and the RBs are definitely making a difference

But look at the QB difference for those teams. Daniel jones, Levis/rudolph, Minshew- To Lamar, Hurts and Jordan Love

WGR was stammering around this morning trying to bang the running backs don’t matter gong.

Its 2024, playmaking matters.

But the bigger lesson is still the same, when bad teams want to give you their best players, let them.

That whole drive was whack. Just bomb after bomb, when they had time to have a semi-normal scoring drive. I'm sure the Ravens would have been in pseudo-prevent and allowed the Chargers to march down the field and eat some clock. I'm not too sure about this Greg Roman guy.

We all know about Greg

He's a limited coordinator... He's a world class guy at developing a sophisticated run game

But in pure passing situations his scheme is limited.. he's a glorified lines coach

In a league that has switched to more light boxes and smaller LBers…. There’s certainly something to getting ahead of the trends. Same goes for this Bills offense being run focused with big WRs and 12 personnel that can beat on secondaries in the ground game and break Cook/Davis/Johnson for run gains - plus Shakir and the RBs for YAC.

Let’s the other team know that you’ve surrendered.  Easier that way.

Lets your own team know the same. Makes it easier to guys to make business decisions with Derrick Henry steaming towards them.

Ravens averaging over 7 ypc rushing the ball on the season.

Jebus. If if play them again, hoping a healthy Milano means we can play a 4-3 with Bernard, Milano and Williams.

This game would have been big for LA.  Now they’re gonna need to work hard to make the playoffs. their only “easy” games are the last two but both are road games @NE and @LV

The history of the league has a bunch of guys his size who imo were better especially since they played in a different and more physical era of football.

Steven Jackson, John Riggins, Franco Harris, Jim Brown, Eric Dickerson, Eddie George, Oj Anderson, Larry Csonka, Antowain Smith etc.    All his size and most outproduced him in a tougher league with shorter seasons and more difficult playing conditions_Environments.

I honestly never think of henry among the greats at this point.  If he does this for like 3 to 5 years more I will.

You lost me at Antowain Smith “outproduced” Henry. Not sure what league you’re referring to, but I know it’s not the NFL.

Also, remember Brandon Jacobs? Very similar in size to Henry, and mediocre at best.

Size isn’t everything. #thatswhatshesaid

Chargers down 2 scores and 3 minutes to go. Are we going to see the Charger-iest ending ever and watch them mount an improbable comeback only come up just short?

Stay tuned.

well i didn't say smith out produced him I said most of those guys did, but smith was his size.

If you took the 1983 washington redskins and put them in todays game with the perfect playing conditions all over th eleague

and the majority of defense being light and playing a ton of nickel and dime with the rules weighted to the offense

Riggins would rush for 2500 yards.

I can't even imagine what Eric Dickerson would do vs today's defenses.
