I've long said that the nfl should be involved in these smaller leagues. Obviously it'd never be as big as the nfl, but being backed by the nfl would definitely help. Have minor league pro teams in the same cities/stadiums as the nfl teams. Also, I'd change the rules for these minor football leagues. The current rules are way too similar to current nfl rules. I would eliminate punting completely. Give each team 4 downs, if they can't get a 1st down, ball goes over to the other team. I'd also make it a rule that teams can only run once per every 1st down. So in a 4 down set, a team can only run once. If these leagues want any chance at success, they need to cater to the level of players that are playing and also make it more watchable for fans.

WNY is not a hot bed of talent like Texas or Florida or Georgia

But it's still produces more division one football players then New England region, and the Dakotas and West Virginia and Nebraska and Wyoming

The Monsignor Martin League.. aka the Catholic League

Puts out division 1 kids every single year..  even Bennett the city powerhouse , consistently puts two kids division 1 yearly

We had a kid from Western New York sign with Georgia

kid should have signed with Cuse!

Alot of the top talent in West New York who are power 4 football Worthy go to Syracuse

They have a pipeline in the inner city of Buffalo

And have a Rochester pipeline

But Rutgers Pittsburgh Boston college and Penn st all have fingerprints and recruiting influence on Western New York

Outside of the University at Buffalo

Had to look them up. They did have tons of support, almost 35.000 fans per game:

Where would they play. At Kezar?

Isn't Kezar more like a public park now?

Anything that may take away from the Bandits should be off the table. They’ve won numerous championships, ferchristsake!

UFL season runs from April thru June, so there's a little overlap with the NLL.

they should think a little outside the box...

A team in Maine

A team in Alaska

A team in Hawaii

The catch? Same division.

Seriously though, this league should explore "secondary cities" where instead of being 1 of like 10 pro teams they would be a major story in town.

State College PA would be a cool idea. Football crazy town, no pro teams. Iconic venue.
