PromoTheRobot Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) The UFL is mostly in warm weather markets. But Bills Mafia are tough!! Could we get 10-15K to show up for spring ball? Who wouldn't want a few more tailgate opportunities. Also, our old pal Russ Brandon manages the UFL. https://search.app?link=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theufl.com%2Fnews%2F2024%2Fnovember%2F25%2Funited-football-league-launches-expansion-process-for-new-team-markets&utm_campaign=aga&utm_source=agsadl1%2Csh%2Fx%2Fgs%2Fm2%2F4 Edited 2 hours ago by PromoTheRobot Quote
msw2112 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I'd vote no. Ideally, Buffalo fans will spend their time and money attending Sabres games in the spring. The Sabres, of course, need to do their part, which is a big ask. As a smaller market, there just are not that many entertainment dollars to go around. 1 Quote

This, the entire pie, has only so many pieces, people have in general allocated their entertainment dollars towards what is entertaining, watching truly mediocre or worse football is not likely to be particularly high on most people’s agenda, jmo. 1 Quote

GMB 8888 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This could be a cool idea, if they could maybe tie in a reno to UB’s stadium. I know people hate on it, but I don’t mind spring football. Requires little investment and the games last year weren’t terrible. Quote
Mark Vader Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Bring football back to Oakland! They have a stadium. Quote

One sentence…renovate UB Stadium(which is really a teardown and rebuild) to the tune of tens of millions of dollars. Next sentence…requires little investment. Huh? Quote

As for UB stadium, I don't think there is anything that wrong with it. Yeah the track sucks, but it's not like the field is a million miles away from the stands. But why can't you play games at Highmark? I would think adding 5-6 more events to the stadium calendar would be a good thing, a little extra revenue. People are used to football played at Highmark. Sell seats on just one side to save on staffing concessions, security etc. Charge $10 to park, $20-$30 for tickets. 10K attendance would be a healthy number for the UFL.
