Hopefully they can get some of their injured players back because right now that team is a shell of its former self. Losing CMC for the year is a devasting blow.

They loss both RB’s, CMC and Mason. I don’t see Williams rushing to come back with his horrible loss of his newborn son. Who knows with Bosa?  But I don’t foresee much fight left in San Fran.

My point is that hasnt really been what has happened.  They are playing straight up games vs inferior opponent's. Instead of teams coming from behind it’s more a tick for tack and the Chiefs are coming from behind in these games.  The current game script is harder to operate out of.

They lost to Daniel Jones and the Giants in the Wild Card round. 

vikings overvthr past few yrs had many one score games. One year they were on the high end but another year they were on a low end

 

chargers and broncos have had these seasons too. I think Russell Wilson first year in Denver they were something like 4-8 in one score games.

 

Steelers also have had many one score games.

I doubt they win 5 in a row as well but that isn't that tough of a schedule.

So Let's assume Bills get the 2nd seed and the Chiefs get the 1 seed. All it will take is for the Chiefs to lose in the 2nd round (which I think is likely) and then the AFC Championship runs through Buffalo. I still think KC will drop a couple more in season but either way, I really don't see us travelling to KC this year.

Indy beat miami.  Even in that very specific scenario I think there’s very little chance Miami gets in with Indy having JAX week 18.  Miami is cooked if they lose 1 more because the broncos play the colts and they have to jump both in the standings.  
 

They are either chasing a 9-5 Denver team or a 7-7 colts team with the tiebreaker with Tennessee, NYG, and JAX to go

They knew what they were getting when they traded for him, with his injury history. I don't feel sorry for them.

If the Bills can't get the #1 seed, then I hope the playoff picture stays the way it is right now.

 

As of today, #7 Denver at #2 Buffalo. #6 Baltimore at #3 Pittsburgh, and #5 Chargers at #4 Texans. Would love it if the Steelers eliminated the Ravens.

It’s basically between Denver and now Baltimore  and Indy and Miami has a shot if they win 5 in a down and things fall into place for them.

 

I still think the Steelers and Chargers are going to drop back a bit as well but both those teams have been proving me wrong
