Still all kinds of possibilities left.

Right now 3 divisions are clinched.

Steelers beat Ravens on Saturday would clinch the division being 2 games up with 2 g to go and season sweep

Denver W one clinches a playoff spot

Chargers need to W2 or W 1 and have the 6-8 teams all lose one.

Sure.  What if the Ravens win?  Broncos play Chargers this Thursday.

NONE of the seeding is anywhere set in stone.

Ravens W one for 10 W they earn a playoff spot because none of the 6-8 teams can get to 10.

Three games left with a two game deficit…

The Bills play three bottom feeders and the Chiefs play three playoff contenders…

Exactly.  Not to mention that the Chiefs games are before the Bills next 2 games.

KC ends playing Denver who may have a lot to play for.

We have to win out (very possible with the receiving teams on our schedule) and Chiefs have to drop 2 . Tough but the latter can happen given who they are playing and Mahomes likely to be gimpy

Bills are not in a bad spot at all. Of course the division is secured ensuring a top 4 seed and a home game. The Bills have a 2 game lead on the Texans but no tie breaker, the Bills have a 1 game lead on the Steelers not sure about the tie breaker scenario, and the Bills have a 2 game lead on the Ravens.

Bills simply need to win 2 out of 3 to secure the 2 seed. That's a pretty comfortable margin of error. One win most likely secures the 3 seed. As far as the 1 seed the Bills will only have a shot at it if they win out. Certainly plausible to win out three division games against lackluster opponents two at home but division games are always tricky.

KC needs to lose 2 out of 3 which under most circumstances would not be likely. But with a tough schedule Texans, Steelers, and Broncos and Mahomes with an ankle injury that may have him missing a game that's a possibility maybe 40%.

TLDR: Win out secure the 2 seed and give yourself a shot at the 1 seed.

Win the next two games and the Bills can rest all the starters in week 18 unless there is an opportunity for the #1 seed. I think if the opportunity arose to rest your starters in week 18 or play them with the hope of getting the 1 seed I would take the rest

It is important the team gets a rest at some stage … worst case scenario is that they are still battling away Week 18  and miss out on the 1 seed

That’s pretty much what happened with the afc east last year lol would not be unprecedented

It was a tougher equation last year to win the division… somehow the Lolphins lost to the Titans though ..

The ideal situation….

next week hou beat KC, Balt beat Pitt, bills win

week after pitt beat kc, balt beat hou, bills win

Bills control fate for #1 seed

Steelers control fate for division with a W on week 18

Steelers better hope that TJ Watt injury isn't too serious. I don't think it is as he was walking off the field yesterday on his own although he was limping.

It would be just like Chiefs luck for them to not have to face Watt.

I think he plays. He was able to walk off the field on his own. Watt is a tough SOB so I expect he will play. He might not be at 100%

Texans at 2 pt favs against KC next week.  Imo our chance at a 1 seed rests on this game.  Mahomes presumably not going to play.

The Chiefs still have to play Pitt as well. That won't be easy for them especially if Mahomes isn't 100%
