Anyone else feel like we're the only team that can keep the Chiefs from a threepeat?

We're America's only hope, imo.

Broncos, chargers, and ravens can beat them.

I definitely think the chargers will beat them 3rd time around and healthy. Basically just need them to take down the ravens or Texans first round and they’d face off round 2 most likely.

Odd bit of information, but Denver just waived Levi Wallace on Christmas Eve.

If this is the end for Levi, what a career he made for himself.  Pretty impressive.

He wasnt one of my favorites here, but compared to what we have seen in the past few weeks, he was a few steps above in his prime.

I agree, Lamar always stumbles against KC/in the playoffs as a whole, and the Chargers are extremely overrated just because of Harbaugh. The Chargers basically had the same season back in 2022, they aren’t going anywhere.

Denver is a joke and would be akin to a bye. If they somehow let the Bengals sneak in to the playoffs we will be 1 and done

If the Bills can’t account for the Bengals at home in the playoffs, it would be a mercy killing …because it doesn’t get any easier after that ..

I would fully expect the Bills to win that game …

So for those folks terrified at maybe playing the Bengals the Steelers need to win their game to win their division.  And given the fact that NO team wants to go into the playoffs riding a 4 game losing streak it will be a tall order for the Bengal's to go into Pittsburgh and get the win.

But….

if they L then they play BAL in a 6-3 match if LAC W, if they win it’s at HOU in a 5-4.

if they get div it’s them hosting chargers in 6 at 3

what would they rather do?

early guess assume

Bills beat jets…

ATL, TB, MIA, IND W

DET doesn’t clinch div ( MIN W assures it since det plays on Mon)

if Rams don’t clinch division after this week, and the abc early game can’t decide the tiebreaker before rams game. Like Miami L factors into it.   then

ABC early ** candidates

ABC late SEA-Rams

even if clinched, rams win clinches #3 seed.

Det can not play Saturday because it was a Monday night game

Sunday afternoon games ( NFL could move games between networks like was and tb on opposite networks

I assume Buffalo ALSO gets the #2 seed if both Pittsburgh and Baltimore lose their final game (and we lose both games)

Checking the Chiefs board it seems to be split on whether they should root to beat Denver to eliminate them. Or tank the game on purpose to eliminate Cincinnati.

The smart posters say to start no one of importance and lose, thereby eliminating maybe the best QB,WR, WR combination in the league that gives KC fits.

The dumb ones say they’re not scared of anyone and they hate Denver so get rid of them.

Wondering if you’ve watched any Giants or Jags games this year……

Just Bills vs Jags, why?

Why on Earth is everyone in this thread afraid of a Cincinnati team that has the worst defense in football and a very tiny chance of even making the playoffs?

Can we be confident that the Chargers will win one of either at NE or at LV?  If so, they’re in.  Lose both is close to 0%.

That leaves Cincy needing to beat Denver.  Ok that’s in their hands.  Let’s be VERY generous and give them 75% odds.   Then they go on the road against Pittsburgh who still can win the division.  That’s 50/50 at best.  Denver would also need to lose at home against KC who has zero motivation while Denver, who basically already beat them in KC has everything to play for.  Generous again: 50/50.  .75*.5*.5= 18.75% to even get that far.

Is Indy really going to lose to either the Giants or the Jaguars?  Really?  I’ll give Indy 75% chance against the Giants and 80% chance against Jax meaning 60% chance they win both so 40% chance they lose at least one.  18.75* .4….down to 7.5%….

Now the Fish have to lose against either Cle or NYJ.  I think this is more likely than Indy losing one….maybe 50/50.

So trying to be super generous to Cincy they have a 3.75% chance of making the playoffs.  And if they get there they still have a terrible defense that needs to play against #17.

Shirley you can’t be serious with this crap.

We all don't look that crazy, now do we?

Good summation, I believe, of who the Bills should want, from Buff news:

"The dream for Bills fans is for Denver or Miami to claim the No. 7 seed over Cincinnati, which should happen. Denver should beat a Kansas City team sitting its starters. Even if it doesn’t, Miami should beat the Jets. The ideal bracket would have the Chargers stay in the No. 6 spot. That sends Los Angeles to Baltimore for the wild-card round – the toughest possible matchup for the Ravens. The Chargers beat the Ravens, then go to Kansas City, against whom they’ve lost by only seven and two points. The Chargers knock off the Chiefs in the divisional round. The Bills beat Denver or Miami in the wild-card round, then beat Houston or Pittsburgh in the divisional round. That puts the Chargers in Buffalo for the AFC final. Is it likely all those dominoes fall in perfect order for the Bills? No. But at least the Bills have the No. 2 seed, meaning they get at least two home games."

Why do I hear so many people saying that Pittsburgh is a bigger threat in the first round for Baltimore than the Chargers would be?

I know Pittsburgh beat Baltimore but that was early in the season and the game was In Pittsburgh.  Pittsburgh recently got blown out by Baltimore and is slowly looking worse and worse.

John Harbaugh won a college national championship last year, multiple nfc championship games/superbowl appearances and now his team is getting hot and has Justin Herbert.

You'd be crazy to think the chargers don't give the ravens a run for their money.
