zow2 Posted Friday at 02:32 PM Posted Friday at 02:32 PM The Chiefs are better today than they were in September, so that is worrying. Also, they are the only AFC playoff team with that "refuse to lose" mentality. We haven't seen that out of Buffalo or Baltimore in the playoffs in the last 5 years. You know Allen has that mentality, but he cannot control the defensive and special teams sides of the ball. If KC's offense in on the field last, or their defense is on the field last...they Always make the play necessary to win. That obviously has to change. Quote

We beat them with DHop, Hollywood does add another dimension to their O and McBabich had a great gameplan.. These teams still have to play our offense, I say whoever wins the turnover battle, wins the game Ravens have given up 30+ 9 times, over half their games, could easily have 7 losses, Cincy x2.. Very beatable, Bills just had an off night, too many mistakes Quote

Right now, they are in the 4-5 matchup with Houston. The Steelers and Ravens usually play close games, and the Steelers have won most of them in recent years. Even if the Steelers lose you know they will put the Ravens through a war as both teams hate each other and the games are always very physical. 1 Quote

Pitts/Balt would be a close game. I think ravens would crush LA if they were to end up playing the chargers 1 Quote

That would Really be ideal. That would be great. Another scenario would be for Pitt to lose next week against Cincy and either LA or Denver to win their next two games and finish at 5. Pitts vs Baltimore definitely leaves the winner more bearable for Buffalo. Think of how the KC vs Bills game of 2021 left KC depleted for the AFC championship game. 1 Quote

But you also have to consider that the Ravens pass defense was primarily responsible for all of these losses. Up to and including the Ravens vs Browns loss, the Ravens pass defense was one of the worst in NFL history, statistically. Since that loss to the Browns, they adjusted and reformulated. Since the game after the Browns, the Ravens pass defense has actually become the NUMBER ONE pass defense in the league (over this subset of games). The fact that the Ravens are still dead last in pass defense rankings is a testament to how truly awful they were up to that Browns loss. With the pass defense now, seemingly corrected, the primary thing to beat the Ravens is to rely on penalties... they can't help themselves, or to rely on them beating themselves. For example, Eddie Jackson (free safety) dropped three Jameis Winston interceptions in that Browns game. Two of them were babies first interception-levels of easy. And if he had caught either, the game would have almost certainly been a Ravens win. Then, Kyle Hamilton dropped an easy throw straight into his chest by Jameis, which absolutely was a game winning INT if he caught it. There was around two minutes left, and the next play was a touchdown by Jameis to take the final lead. Long story short, the Ravens can definitely beat themselves. They also did this against the Eagles. But if they don't embody the meme of the kid on a bicycle jamming a stick into the wheel spokes, asking why everything went wrong, then there isn't some clear gameplan to beat them that you can study. SCBills Posted Friday at 07:37 PM Posted Friday at 07:37 PM Ravens Defense if we see them in the Divisonal. Josh Allen will, once again, be asked to outduel another elite QB, but in reality be going up against a much better Defense than the one backing him up. 1 Quote

If the Bills struggle this Sunday i will be more nervous about the round 1 matchup than I already am. Quote

I think the Bills are in a weird spot after two big time games against playoff teams on the road, with the 1 seed still within reach. The Pats game was the first game in a minute where it looked like they were legitimately going through the motions. I would hope there’s urgency to blow out the Jets, get right, lock down the 2 seed — Team also knowing Josh needs a good game for the MVP race — so, yea.. it would be frustrating if they struggle again, but between resting anyone on the fence, not a ton to play for, and the Offense likely running vanilla / JA don’t run concepts, we’re really in “get to the playoffs healthy” mode. It's never been different Even in his 2 playoff wins, the most he has passed for is like 170 yds. There is no data that Lamar will suddenly be the high volume passer when it really matters in the playoffs. You can't hide your QB in the playoffs unless you're the 2000 ravens. Lamar had 156 yards passing week 4. Quote
Brand J Posted Friday at 09:05 PM Posted Friday at 09:05 PM If Allen has another game against the Jets like he had against the Patriots, Jackson will most likely become the MVP front runner with a game to go. If we have to go through the Ravens to get to KC, so be it. I’m tired of hearing Broussard say BAL is so much better than BUF because of the one game they played this year - like it’s not possible it was one team’s night while the other was off. Quote

I don't like the matchup with the Ravens. They can run it really well with Henry and LJ and the Bills aren't great against the run. I am not saying the Bills couldn't win the game, but it would be a very tough game to win. I don't care about the other teams in the AFC including KC. Whoever they play is fine with me except the Ravens. Quote
