Every single kick with him is butt clenching. 1 1 2 Quote

Thrivefourfive Posted yesterday at 06:03 AM Posted yesterday at 06:03 AM this thread should be about the kicker. We all got good QBs. Sure, ours is a little better (HA!) but these playoffs are not going to be for the light heartened. And there are some excellent kickers that give teams an advantage. Not us. We are a mess at kicker. And it’s not okay. Okay. 2 minutes ago, That's No Moon said: I would need more Xanax than has ever been made in order to watch that kick. Did you watch the last one? IF THE BILLS HAD CHRIS BOSWELL. That's No Moon Posted yesterday at 06:06 AM Posted yesterday at 06:06 AM Discussing the current playoff situation for a moment. If it ends up the way it currently is it has the potential to line up nicely for us. Denver, then Pittsburgh if they beat LA, and on the other side of the bracket you'd have Baltimore and Houston knocking one or the other out, then the winner playing KC and again, knocking one of them out. Potentially we could get to the AFC Championship game and only have to play one of Houston, Baltimore or KC with 2 of those 3 options being at home. That's a pretty nice draw if I'm honest and a potential downside to being the 1 seed. Yes you get a bye, but barring upsets it also probably lands you Baltimore in the Divisional and then probably KC in the Championship. 3 minutes ago, Thrivefourfive said: Did you watch the last one? Which last one? Bass in the playoffs last year? Yes. For me it was lower stakes because in my head they'd already lost by kicking that at all. Needed a TD on that drive and didn't get it. Bass making that kick would have prolonged the inevitable. 1 Quote

I agree with you BTW, you pay your kicker all year just in case they have to make that kick. If they aren't pretty close to a mortal lock from any reasonable distance in that situation you need a different kicker and you keep looking until you find a Tucker or a Butker or a Vinatieri. Bass isn't that guy. Could he make it? Sure, he could. Do I trust him to step up and nail one? Hell no. Quote

Bills fans can spot a shakey kicker, and we don’t like it (nothing personal); and we also appreciate the rare opportunity to play in a Super Bowl, and how that may be your only shot in a lifetime to see your team with the trophy. I agree with everything you said but I don't know if you can find a better replacement at this point. The only positive about Bass is he's familiar with how the wind blows in the stadium. Quote

But when did we know.. it’s the team’s business to know and do something about it. Put it this way, He’s worse off than he was at the end of last season’s debacle. That’s not good, and we should’ve found a way to sure up a point scoring position. I don’t know what’s out there right now either. That’s part of the problem here. Bass can’t make two 50 yarders and miss a 28 yarder every game and think that we’re cool with that. Cant be that way. Thats a fired kicker. Every time. I would've moved off Bass after the KC finale game last year and brought in a more reliable kicker when they were available (even though it would mean eating the dead cap on his contract). They're best bad option though now is sticking with Bass even though he even looks like Norwood. Edited yesterday at 07:23 AM by Doc Brown 1 Quote

D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted yesterday at 01:35 PM Posted yesterday at 01:35 PM (edited) The 86% playoffs chance I've been seeing for Denver seems very high to me. Ran the remainder of games through Playoff Machine at ESPN and Indy should win final 3 games and Denver could easily lose to Cincy and KC. Seems like a much higher failure rate for Denver is likely. Edit: NYT has it at 79% and that still seems very high. I think Payton knows he's in trouble after losing that game last night. Edited yesterday at 01:38 PM by D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Quote

Best potential scenario is getting the bye... followed by Pittsburgh/Houston in the Divisional Round. Worst potential scenario is getting the #2 seed and being forced to play the extra Wild Card game... followed by Baltimore in the Divisional Round, and then Kansas City in Arrowhead for the AFC Championship. Yes, there is a very possible scenario that we end up with the worst of both worlds. Obviously we should be rooting for the Chiefs to lose, giving us a crack at the #1 slot. But if that doesn't happen, my hope is the Steelers win the AFC North. That would give us a much better shot at avoiding the Ravens in the playoffs. 6 minutes ago, D. L.
