Lions are not beating Philly. The wrong team is favored in the NFC. I called this out in the Thanksgiving game thread but the Lions have a Bills like quality as far as losing in impossible fashion. Call it the great lakes curse, they won't ultimately get it done this year.

I like the Chiefs and Bills in the AFC. I would include the Ravens, but I just don't see them making it past KC and the Steelers. Pittsburgh has Lamar's number and KC is just too clutch vs Baltimore's anti clutch.

Put up or shut up time for us. McD and our performance are a great story but I will forever hold out full porn mode until we show it in the postseason.

I think detroit is better on O, but their d is really risk taking.  they were stomping chicago but almost let them come back to win it.  they kinda remind me of the rams teams for like 7 or so years ago.  tons of stars, look great when they execute, but when things go off script, they seem to fall apart a bit.  losing their best defensive player hurts as well.

Philly is playing great right now, but I think Hurts kinda limits them offensively.  he just looks really slow to process for me.  I'd be much more confident playing philly in the super bowl than KC or baltimore in the playoffs.

I think that offense totally goes to crap when they fall off schedule. With us, 2nd and 14? Sure.....Allen is a threat to get a you a chunk play regardless of the situation. But for them, Goff is a liability when pressured. So if you can pin your ears back even a little it really can give them problems. To stay on schedule they run a lot even on 3rd down and also incorporate of ton of screens. They can roll you if you can't slow down the easy 3-5 yards plays. While I feel like they're over rated, If I have a concern at all with them it is that run game and screen game. They're sort of built to take advantage of a pursuit defense.

Then, also like you said, they're feast or famine on defense. Lets not forget they haven't played practically any good offenses this year and that defense was ranked in the 30's for multiple years in a row. They have always played good run defense, but you can expose them in the passing game. Which I think we will see when they play us.

just playing around w the playoff machine, i can get quite a few scenarios where we end up w the 1 seed which i think is going to be really valuable this season especially

the afc wildcard matchups are brutal

I really dont think the Lions game matters. Obviously winning is better than losing but there should be 4 clear Ws on the calendar regardless and I think the Chiefs luck starts to run dry.

I can't believe the Bengals are 4-8. They are probably out of the playoff race with yesterday's loss to the Steelers. Look at Burrow's 2024 stats. 3,337 yards passing with 30 TD's and 5 INT's. How is this team 4-8 with QB play like that.

No running game and a poor defense, especially in the defensive backfield.

I agree, but counterpart is Baltimore is a solid run d and awful pass d, and they are our lunch by being big and so so dirty on d.

On paper Philly and Detroit can run on us, and can frustrate us up front on d.

I think we beat Philly because hurts is just not that sharp IMO, Detroit I think can roll on is like McCaffery was doing last night for a bit, or they can implode and we walk the game away from them (just like SF last night after our second possession and there out).

big o says" dolphins have had a culture of being soft for 40 years"....

" Kelly dominated Marino just like Allen dominates the dolphins now"....

both Cleveland and Denver are showing some offense capable of beating KC down the stretch.

I don't trust a team quarterbacked by Jamies Winston to beat the Chiefs. He threw for a lot of yards last night and TD's but the pick 6 and INT at the end were just awful.

The game last night was great for a couple of reasons:

1.  It further diminished the Fishies' and Bungles' chances of making the playoffs.  Cinci is almost certainly done now, and the Fish are two games behind Denver in the L column.

2.  It showed that both of those teams have some firepower to go up against the Cheifs.

everyonebof their W was a one score game in the 4th. 11-0 in one score games is a major outlier. Most teams in 11 one score games would be between 4-7 wins, not 11 so they should be more like 7-5 or 8-4

It’s like the Viking team that beat us in 2022. It took a crazy circumstances to beat us 33-30 in over time. They 13-4 and 11 of those wins were by 1 score.

They lost to Daniel Jones and the Giants in the Wild Card round.

Denver winning last night was big but I can see them going 1-3 in their last four games. If they go 2-2 they are certainly in with 10 wins.

Colts

@Chargers

@Cinncy

KC

Mia has an easier schedule but has three road games. Not sure NYJ, SF and Cleveland have much to play for. If they can beat Houston they’d have a legit chance to get to 10-7.  Not predicting they will, but they have a realistic path.

As for the Dolphins the only games I could see them losing are Houston and Cleveland. Anything can happen but they really shouldn't lose to the Jets and Niners.

Niners are tougher for them than most because McDaniel is essentially an off brand Kyle Shanahan lol Shanahan is extremely familiar with everything they’re gonna throw at him
