Warcodered Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Josh and the Bill's only goal is the SB, they only care about the MVP in so much as it is typically an indicator that both Josh and the team are performing very well and are likely the #1 seed. Quote
ProcessTruster Posted November 25 Posted November 25 If Josh wins MVP and the Bills exit the playoffs b4 the SB, that will really be bad. Quote

Look at some of the names that have a vote in the awards. That idiot Acho is one of them. It's always been a bunch of bull####, unless you think Wayne Fontes and Dick Jauron were legit coaches of the year. The media gets too caught up in what the narrative is at the end of the year and votes accordingly. Are you trying to tell me our own Mitch Trubisky's NVP award means NOTHING?? 1 Quote
JDubya76 Posted November 25 Posted November 25 Due to the narrative, the media pundits care the most, but since that isn’t an option, I chose the fans. 1 Quote

Straight Hucklebuck Posted November 26 Posted November 26 The media. Its a media award that means nothing to fans compared to winning. Nobody walks around with Brett Favre NFL MVP 1996 shirts. Quote
Kelly to Allen Posted November 26 Posted November 26 (edited) Allen has the most tds in NFL history over any 4 year span ever from 20-23.... He beat mahomes in 21,22, and 23 He beat Lamar on the road in 22 He was 6 passing touchdowns away from being the only QB in NFL history to have 35+ passing touchdowns 4 years in a row. Only QB in NFL history to have 40 plus tds 4 years in a row Someone look up his number of player of the weeks from 20-23 Allen during that 4 year span has more playoff tds than Lamar, burrow, Herbert and Lawrence combined Allen has a higher td% and lower int % than mahomes in the playoffs during that 4 year span... The only accolade he received was a 2nd team all pro in 2020. For context favre has extremely similar numbers from 95-97 and won 3 straight MVPs. No QB ever won a second MVP until he won a championship. That precedent was the case going back to Unitas if I'm not mistaken Edited November 26 by Kelly to Allen 1 2 Quote

The media painted him with a fake narrative about turnovers for whatever reason. Pay attention to the conversation when he is brought up, it's an endless diatribe about turnovers non stop Not only is the narrative not true it's actually the opposite. So I honestly don't know what the ap is going to think when it comes to accolades. I know Allen should easily have a lot more but maybe ppl disagree Edited November 26 by Kelly to Allen 1 Quote
C.Biscuit97 Posted November 26 Posted November 26 I’ll be honest: i think it’s weird that people care so much about another man winning an award. im also am very salty because I couldn’t bet on Allen to win the MVP in my state. 😞 Quote

Super Bowls is all the common fan cares about. Lamar huggers in the media cling to his two MVPs, but the argument is mute because nobody but Brady and Mahomes have won Super Bowls in 5 years. Quote

But if Allen doesn't win the super bowl he still deserves to be in the Hof. I’d rather Allen win the SB MVP award. Quote

Seeing that he should not have been last year it would make it more fun if they doubled down on hoping the guy they all want to be the mvp actually becomes the mvp again. I mean, these people who vote for the award would give it to Lamar over and over as long as he doesn't trip over his own shoe laces. Quote

zow2 Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Starting to hear more media talk about breaking away from the traditional QB and giving MVP to Saquan. Of course they would do that during a season Allen is primed to win it over the other QB competition. 1 Quote

In any other year I would be happy to see Saquan win it It's been great to see Saquan and Derrick Henry have the seasons they are having this year. When I was a kid running back was the coolest position on the field, the biggest star on the team but then in the modern NFL the position really became a second thought and that bummed me out. Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted November 26 Posted November 26 Need to add "none of the above" option. SuperBowl is all that matters Thurman won MVP and that season is only remembered for losing his helmet. 1 Quote
