I appreciate the weather updates. I don’t want to see this turn into a Todd Santos - Patrick Hammer WWE cage match 😄

Should we start a Weather Debate thread to draw them away? 0:)

Thinking about a couple nerdy meteorologists throwing hands after pumping up the crowd during the walk to the ring is awesome lol.

Careful now, we’re not all thick glasses and pocket protector wearing nerds.  I worked with a 330lb meteorologist that infrequently would cage fight.

Oh Simon, it’s okay, you can come out and stop pretending. We all know you're the biggest (closet) weather nerd on TBD 😝

Did he have to take 6 months between bouts to catch his breath?

I freely admit that I am a total weather nerd. 100%.

I'm just not smart enough with it to tell others what's up.

btw, I am also a book nerd, a sports nerd, a science fiction nerd, a hiking nerd and a whole bunch of other nerds all rolled into one.

I'm like a one man nerdpack.

I know the gets brought up from time to time, but I'll ask it any way.  Should this be a game where Buffalo plays more 4-3 defense as opposed to their usual nickel alignment?  The weather may not be great for passing offenses.  There is speculation that the 49ers might utilize Deebo Samuel quite a bit as a RB.  On Buffalo's side of the ball.  Matt Milano is a great coverage linebacker and Dorian Williams has improved in that area over the course of the season.  At the same time, they both have the speed to disrupt the running game and chase down McCaffery if he plays.

I think the Bills briefly went to a 4-3 during the debacle at Baltimore. I don't think it's beyond the realm of possibility.

Now it looks like snow WILL potentially effect the game tomorrow as the movement north of the lake band has been a lot slower than initially expected and is basically pushing the move back south farther back as well...

This Afternoon

Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. High near 29. Southwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.

Tonight

Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 23. Southwest wind 10 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 10 to 14 inches possible.

Sunday

Snow before noon, then snow showers likely after noon. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 30. Southwest wind 11 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.

Sunday Night

Snow likely before midnight, then a chance of snow showers after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. West wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Based on the above the range is 15-25".

That was probably to get Cam Lewis out of Taron's spot, as he was getting eaten alive.

Yep. Cam has improved quite a bit this year but I'm still very leery of his tackling.

He's pretty decent with the finesse aspects but unless he improves his physicality there's gonna be a big dropoff from Taron to him.

It does seem like Cam is playing faster so I'm encouraged by that.

JFC with all this snow talk. It’s Buffalo, oh no! It might snow! We’ve had 3 games moved in the history of the franchise. Relax, it’s a Buffalo game in December. Some of you guys act like you’ve never lived here. One of the best games I’ve ever been to was the Miami snow game where Ricky Williams ran for like 200 yards and we still won. 75K people singing Let It Snow. Awesome.

Milano is going to be on a severe snap count. I don’t expect to see any 4-3 against a SF team coming East in the snow with half their team on IR. Purdy with his bum shoulder isn’t going to be throwing past 20 yards so we will let them run as much as they want, especially if we get up.

It’s going to be the usual nickle D with Milano coming in on obvious passing downs to get his feet wet.

If Purdy has a bad shoulder and the weather is gonna be bad, why would you want them to let them run as much as they want? SF wants to run the ball as that's their game script to win

In my opinion this would be the game to stop the run, take Away the middle of the field and make Purdy beat you deep/on the outside

We better have more players in the box. I'm tired of seeing our dime defense 10 yards back when the opponent is clearly running.

Don’t hold your breath.  That’s just not what the Bills do.

It’s clear as day that McD is inviting teams to run the ball. We are purposely giving light boxes and begging teams to run it. McD’s philosophy is that if teams are going to waste a lot of plays on the ground, it will force them to march down the field every drive where the chance for a mistake goes way up. It’s worked so far except against the Ravens who took us totally out of our game script. McD would rather bring a safety down in the box than put a 3rd LB on the field and take Johnson off.

We aren’t going to switch things up against a banged up 49ers team and show our hand. I could see in the playoffs McD throwing in some 4-3 against the Ravens just to switch things up if they are running it down our throats again but that’s about it.

I think we need to stop worrying about the run D so much. It’s strategic and McD/Babitch have done an excellent job adjusting to a teams run game even though we are running nickle 85% of the time.

For sure, what you're saying is absolutely correct about the bills allowing teams to run with light boxes.

But this game i Would give heavier boxes and dare SF to throw . Make Brock Purdy throw it deep with a bad shoulder in weather conditions
