I like Dorian but if we are being honest he’s probably average at best compared to other starters in the league.

I would expect that out of a guy who is starting for the first time. The key with a young guy is seeing if he plateaus or if there is continual improvement. I think the latter has been the case with him

The browns played in snow and didn’t move their game any

They had a few inches...

And as an aside, for a place that regularly gets snow, Cleveland has the worst snowplowing I have ever seen or driven thru...it's a joke.

They need to send their plow drivers to WNY to get trained like most of the rest of the country does.

Dorian has definitely been a stud. If we play the Ravens in the playoffs we're going to want all 3. Maybe they figure out a way to get them all on the field at the same time.

Meh on him as a stud as someone mentioned his coverage struggles. Agree ravens is when you would want to get creative with him. I would take damar off for him if you’re gonna do it and let taron take on a safety role. Not sure they do this plan though

Milano has great instincts, but I want to point out Williams is a better tackler than Milano. Generally speaking when he gets hand on you, it is over. That Ravens game Williams is the only guy who tackles Henry to the ground one on one, a few times. Cover 1 guys has breakdown on that. Their point is Williams has long arms AND upper body strength to make him a great tackler.

of course instincts is a much more desirable attribute in any sports.

He was practicing last week and is a full participant, don't see any reason why he wouldn't...

How much is probably the question...likely will see him worked back in slowly and a lot of reps in obvious passing situations I am guessing.

Yeah and not the little ones most places get that might rip a roof off a house here and there and cause some damage to a few trees...the 2+ mile wide ones that basically destroy everything in their path.

EF5 = Finger of God

That's what she said...

No way on earth Williams is a better tackler than Milano.  Milano is money when it comes to wrapping dudes up.
I kind of understood when we sucked how guys would bang the drum for the back-up to one of our average starters.  But now he have legit Pro Bowl and All Pro level guys and we still do it…crazy

There’s a few teams out there that i know can win in “our” weather conditions.  But this version of the San Francisco 49ers should not be one of them.

They’ll probably have him share with 42 at first. Lovvvve 58 but I almost feel bad for Dorian.
Yes, I understand it’s a business and he gets paid.

As gonzo said, Dorian is a young and IMPROVING player with close to elite physical traits. We still have not seen his best IMO.

And I think there'll be a role for him. From the recent Buffalo News article on Bobby Babich:

"Babich threw a wrinkle late in the game by using linebacker Dorian Williams as a spy. Williams technically was the fourth defensive lineman, and there were six defensive backs. It was a creative way to use Williams’ athleticism."

You don’t have to believe me. But check Eric and Anthony’s film studies. These guys do film breakdowns on Bills all 22 for like 7 years. They affirmatively said Milano missed tackles more than Willams.

I hadn’t paid much attention to the Niners this year…..   You know the saying Out of Sight Out of Mind

But surprised they seem to be having a poor season….  last i remember them in the Super Bowl they seemed a team on the rise.

Injuries derailed their season, Aiyuk, Deebo, McCafferey, Bosa, Purdy. Trent Williams. Alot of their best players have missed alot of games.

People were asking how much Milano eats into Dorian’s PT, but I think a more interesting question is, once Milano gets his football endurance back and reps and proves to be a playmaker again, which LB stays on the field in dime packages? Him or Bernard?

Seems to me when Milano is back at full go [which could be a few weeks] the decision would be do you keep Milano and Bernard on the field or sub Cam Lewis/Cole Bishop/Jamarcus Ingram [pick one] for either of those two.

Depth in a good problem to have

I think Bernard is better than Milano at this point in coverage.
