Dan Posted November 27 Posted November 27 50 minutes ago, Einstein said: Great question, and speaking from a fans perspective, here are a few questions I wouldn’t mind reading about. Nothing incredible, but at least they elicit some thought from the coach: 1) Entering the 13th week, I’d imagine that the majority of the playbook has been used at this point. How much (if any) does that play into strategy going forward? Do coaches feel the need to keep creating new iterations of plays in the same situation, or are you happy to go back to plays from early in the season at this point? 2) In the past, snow games had led to quite a bit of slipping by Bills players. The Cinci game comes to mind. What processes have been implemented since this game to make sure that each player will have the right cleats to avoid slipping? (ie: Have you tested various cleat and stud sizes to see what works best? Spoken to the manufacturers? Reached to other teams in harsh climates like GB?). 3) Due to the nature of Milano’s injury (biceps), what part of a LB’ers duties and responsibilities are likely to be most impacted in their comeback from this type of injury? Follow up: How long, based on your decade plus of coaching in the NFL, does it take for a player with such an injury to overcome these temporary limitations? 4) We know that players often go on vacation, visit family, etc on the bye week. Did the coaching staff do the same, or did they decide to stay back in Buffalo and start looking at game film for future opponents, or reviewing past game film to find tendencies that the team needs to get improve on? Stuff I do not care about: - What Taron Johnson’s leadership can show to young people - How happy it makes McD to see the current WR’s (what else could he say other than “great”?). - Leading questions or in general, any question that leads to an answer with only possibility. I think I can answer those for the coach…. 1) We’re always looking for ways to improve. We’ll continue to evaluate what works and learn from our mistakes. As a team, I think we can always improve. 2) We feel we have the best equipment staff in the league. I’m sure they’ll be ready for whatever weather we face. 3) Matt has worked really hard to get back on the field. He’s a true warrior. I won’t speculate on any timelines, that’s a decision for himself and the doctors. 4) *chuckling*. It’s hard to separate yourself from the game during the season, but we’ve all taken the time we need to rest and get ready for the next game. 3 1 Quote

And that’s certainly coaches prerogative to give coach speech. But that shouldn’t stop reporters from doing their job. 2 Quote

Agreed. lol. Just saying. You could ask McD what 2+2 is. And he’d probably refer you to the analytics department. 3 Quote

My only memories growing up about Marilla was our travel soccer team used to play games against them and we would literally play on a field in the middle of nowhere with corn surrounding it on 3 sides... When the ball would go in there none of the kids would go back in the corn...too many people saw Children of the Corn and we weren't having it 🤣 Parents used to be running back in there to get it and they usually took turns cause I don't think they wanted to go back there either 🤣 I could tell you that we loved playing on that field other teams players were always scared. We would put scare crows out that to freak people out. Good old days. Quote

McD has a flawless record but they always seem to start slow in those games. We've started slow in most games this year. I'm more concerned whether Purdy plays or not. Yeah the weather there would be pretty boring...sunny and 83...again 🤣 I guess when Santa Ana season arises and during the winter when you get those crazy atmospheric rivers sometimes multiple times for days and days back to back it can get interesting tho... The Bills are like a machine that once it gets in motion or becomes almost unstoppable... How many games have we punted on the first possession or two and then by mid 2nd quarter we score on every drive until the end of the game? Edited November 27 by Big Turk 1 1 Quote

Genuinely: If given press credentials in advance of the Bills' matchup with the 49ers, what question(s) would you have asked? I think part of the point is not how 'hard-hitting' the questions are - but also how poorly they are phrased so that the already trivial question is already answered in the question. It's one of my pet peeves for the local hockey reporters in my area - they are masters of it: "How great was the fantastic crowd tonight!" "Ummm - they were great" Quote
