And there it is...

Winter Storm Watch in effect already for multi-day duration Heavy Lake Snow Event from Friday to Monday.

Issuing it early Tuesday afternoon means they are going to get hammered most likely.

Would expect Northern Erie to follow suit later tonight/tomorrow once they get a better idea of the model with wind direction/storm placement.

Yes but outside of Bosa they don’t have a pass rush, their corners are not playing well, and besides Warner who concerns you on their defense?

Wonder how many calls the 49ers made to the NFL office to beg them to move the game 😂

Our joke was... watch out for those 50 yard crossing patterns .

Even Metzelaars had a big run after catch.

I have never seen Metzelaars have a run after catch like that in his entire career.

I guess the early positive sign is that it's a "watch" (which I assume will increase as the days go by)...we'll see

That's not positive, it's the exact opposite actually. A watch issued this early is because they are expecting it to be really bad and are giving people lots of notice to prepare for it.  Watches are issued prior to 24 hours of the storms expected arrival at which time it will become a Winter Storm Warning or Lake Snow Warning.

You won't until a day or so before the storm hits. Those forecasts are based on normal mesoscale weather models not the microscale ones needed to predict lake snow effectively. The models those places are using have no idea what is going to happen. This is a localized event and they don't have the models for that.  Additionally, much of this isn't known yet due to how localized these bands are and a small shift in wind direction can change the band placement completely and be the difference between places 5 miles away getting nothing or getting multiple feet.

It's coming...they just can't give you all the details on a daily basis yet.

I'm hoping this stays farther south (extreme southern Erie county and down).  I don't like that 4-6 ft map though- uncomfortably close.  The drive home to VA on Monday is going to suck regardless.  I can deal with a little snow for the game but I am really hoping not to get snowed in for days where even getting to the game is in  question.

I have Miami squeaking in the playoffs.

I'm with you. They have a very good offence and a solid defence . With a play caller who seems like he's finally figured it out

Here are my predictions: Purdy won't play, Orchard Park gets 3-5 feet of snow but game isn't moved, Bills win by 9 points . . . But don't quote me on any of this!

Always proud to have Fitz as part of our history as the guy truly does get the team, its fans and the representation of Buffalo.

Can't wait until the new stadium gets built so we won't have to worry about this bs anymore.

They have to decide by Thursday if they are moving the game correct?

https://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/nfl-rulebook/

Cant see anything that appertains to the exact time frame for cancellation/rescheduling but I’d presume Thursday, 72 hours prior. If not, definitley at least 48.

Rule 17, section 1.

“Article 6

If, because of an emergency, a regular-season or postseason game is not started at its scheduled time and cannot be played at any later time that same day, the game nevertheless must be played on a subsequent date to be determined by the Commissioner”

“Article 9

In instances under these emergency procedures which require the Commissioner to reschedule a regular-season game, he will make every effort to set the game for no later than two days after its originally scheduled date, and he will attempt to schedule the game at its original site. If unable to do so, he will schedule it at the nearest available facility. If it is impossible to schedule the game within two days after its original date, the Commissioner will attempt to schedule it on the Tuesday of the next calendar week in which the two involved clubs play other clubs (or each other). Further, the Commissioner will keep in mind the potential for competitive inequities if one or both of the involved clubs has already been scheduled for a game following the Tuesday of that week (e.g., Thanksgiving).”
