I saw another thread asking about what games to watch but didn't see any responses that went into detail about Bills' rooting interests this week.

Obviously we wanted the Browns over the Steelers which happened.

What else are we rooting for, other than Panthers over the Chiefs?

Colts over Lions

Patriots over Dolphins

Titans over Texans

Broncos over Raiders

Chargers over Ravens

All of this is with the idea of making things harder on the Bengals to get in. Ravens and Texans losing help cement Bills seeding as well.

What is up with Lou Anarumo (sp?) and his defense? For years his name was similar to Vic Fangio’s. Fallen off a cliff…

Thank you for this very succinct post! Much appreciated, I had plans to do some work in my basement today but I am behind on a paper that's due soon so I will be working on that and watching football all day.

Obviously panthers over chiefs (a man can dream)

titans over texans i actually think the titans can pull that one off.

chargers over ravens which is definitely possible.

My biggest root against for the next few weeks will be the Bengals. If they get completely knocked out of playoff contention I would be very happy. Unfortunately they are on a bye, but that is probably the absolute last team in the afc I want the bills to get early in the playoffs, and they most likely would because the Bengals would be a low seed.

Not going to worry about the dynamics just yet of who the Bills play in the opening round of the playoffs.  Main thing is for the Chiefs to lose.

With that said, I would rather not play the Dolphins for a 3 rd time.

Why Colts over Lions? I would imagine we'd root for the Colts to lose since they're in the same conference, no?

Its preference of who we could play if we end up the two seed. I suspect the OP doesn't want to play the Bengals or Dolphins as the 7th seed so the Broncos and Colts continuing to win would further guarantee they are our opponent in round 1.

Just curious, does anyone know, if Steelers had won on Thursday, would they have been a head of Bills in standing as the #2 seed?  Believe they only have 1 conference loss, but not sure if that's the fist tie breaker anymore?

Starts with the interior DL.

Let DJ Reader walk (went to Lions), replaced him Sheldon Rankins and he’s been playing hurt all season, ineffective, BJ Hill in and out of the lineup.

They have Trey Hendrickson who is elite, but after that, no pass rush whatsoever. Sam Hubbard has disappeared this season.

None of their recent DL draft picks have worked - Myles Murphy (1st Round pick), Joseph Ossai. Kris Jenkins has been ok.

I think Geno Stone has been a FA disappointment, and Von Bell coming back has been a step slow. Battle has been ok, but the profile on him coming out was average athleticism.

At corner losing Dax Hill early to an ACL, DJ Turner broken clavicle last week, and suddenly Cam Taylor Britt went from an unbelievable pick-6 in Week 2 against the Chiefs, to now he is routinely burnable down the field.

The secondary after Jessie Bates walked in Free Agency doesn’t generate turnovers anymore, not great at stopping the run, thin in the secondary, one elite pass rusher who has to be on the field all the time.

When you invest in Murphy, Ossai, Jenkins, Turner, Cam Taylor Britt, Dax Hill, Jenkins, Battle, and none of those players really are elite.

Also, two years ago Logan Wilson gave the Bengals 4-Ints, he’s at 0 right now, occasionally Germaine Pratt has an INT or forced fumble.

I thought they’d be better because they had admassed several players in their early-prime, had continuity, but Reader leaving has hurt, and the secondary has not regained its 2021 form.

I'm rooting for the Patriots over Dolphins.

I want the Dolphins to slide further down and make the fans cry harder. I wouldn't mind New England winning just enough to hurt their draft position and give them false hope that Mayo is their coach going forward.

Tennessee beating Houston would also be nice, but highly unlikely.

I was about to respond saying in my tony romo voice, "I don'tttt knowww, Jim.. I can see Tenn putting up a fight" as Houston scored on their first play after a long KR haha

If keeping the Bengals out is a goal, isn't dolphins winning better?
