Since the home team in my area, the Commanders, are playing at 1 p.m., I'll probably take the opportunity to do some grocery shopping at Wegmans.

KC will most likely blow out the Panthers. It's not uncommon tho for a team that is way better to lose the next week vs an inferior team if they just came off a huge emotional big game. It's very very common.

This is 100% BS just like the whole trap game hoax. It’s fan and media talking head drivel used to drive narratives for games. If it’s so common, show me the data.

We were really dominating that game up until the fumble.  You could see the entire team deflate after that fumble - it was just "here we go again," and they never recovered.

I think if Norwood's kick was good and we win that one (and I'm not blaming Norwood), we probably win 3 out of the 4.  It became a psychological hurdle.  I remember one Bills player saying 'we don't want to be Denver" before the 2nd SB, and unfortunately, we actually surpassed that. No one thinks of Denver's futility now.  We are the standard bearer.

Josh will change the course of that narrative. I'm sure of it.

Off the top of my head we blew out KC in 21 and lost the very next week to the Titans.

I remember against Miami in 99. We won a huge game 23-3 and Miami was 7-1. We lost the next week to the ray Lucas jets.

In 2011 after finally beating the Patriots in an incredible comeback we lost vs the Bengals

I still have no clue how KC lost to the O'Connell raiders last year and buffalo lost 9-6 the jags in 21. That seems literally impossible in this universe but it happened

Trap games are a real thing because psychology is part of sports

Momentum is also a psychological part of sports

Your anecdotal memories are not data. Trap games have already been proven to be a hoax

Same thing with “let down games”. It’s in your head.

I think it’s more psychological.  Until someone beat the champs, no one had seen it. Now the aura surrounding them is down.  I’m sure KC will beat Carolina,  but the Raiders, Chargers, Broncos, Steelers, Texans, Browns will all give them a serious obattle.

His whole premise is flawed ( Aaron shatz). The data won't show up if looking for a trap game because it's rare by its own definition. That's why it's a trap game lol. What a stupid study 😭

The question is why would such an inferior team beat a much better team other than random bounces of the ball.

Weather and human psychology would be the only answer.

Duh lol

I'm thinking of skipping football entirely this weekend and instead taking my dog mountain biking or for a walk on the beach.  Or meditating at a Zen monastery in the mountains.

It may be sacrilege to say this here, but there's more to life than football.

At least on a non-Bills weekend.

IMHO, That they have an "O"Line   problem, that was manifested in the game..  Hence the Chief's signed LT Humphries.

49ers/Packers might have been more interesting if it wasn't for some key Niner injuries.  Ravens/Chargers could be intriguing.  If the Bills don't end up catching KC for the 1 seed, they could be playing one of these two teams in the WC round.

I want to watch the Pats & Drake Maye. The hype has been off the charts - I've gotta see if there is any there there.

He's pretty good. But time will tell. They were crowning Mac Jones the year he got the Pats to the playoffs and that didn't turn out so well
