JaCrispy Posted November 23 Posted November 23 The radical Left is an anti science cult… Now, obviously we already knew that…But to actually hear a supposed “scientist” reject biological facts is amazing to witness…enjoy! 😉 1
B-Man Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Neil DeGrasse Tyson Flunks Science? Ed Morrissey He flunks Scientific American, anyway. Bill Maher put Neil DeGrasse Tyson on the spot last night on his HBO show Real Time, discussing the politicization of science and the populist revolt against the radical progressive Left in the latest election. And the pop scientist can't bring himself to acknowledge that the 170-year-old magazine sold out science years ago for social-engineering quackery and radical politics. The debate begins with Maher blaming the election loss on the disconnect between Democrats and biological reality, using the meltdown by former Scientific American editor in chief Laura Helmuth as an example. Despite Maher's repeated probing, Tyson refuses to acknowledge a biological difference in sports performance and declines to rebut Helmuth's claim that all such differences are due to social bias. In the end, Bill Maher says, "I'm going to file you under part of the problem," and he's right: https://hotair.com/ed-morrissey/2024/11/23/neil-degrasse-tyson-flunks-science-n3797286 Neil DeGrasse Tyson Is an Ignoramus, Part Deux David Strom Ed wrote about Neil deGrasse Tyson's idiotic performance on Bill Maher's show earlier today. (See above) Tyson matters because he is a science "influencer" whose job it is to be an ambassador to the masses for scientists, who are generally not known for being outstanding communicators. Like Bill Nye the Science Guy, he is a fraud, selling not science but The Science™. He is a self-absorbed, politically motivated, profoundly ignorant, and compromised ignoramus. I want to take another shot at Tyson--not just because I despise his pretentiousness, although I admit I enjoy poking at him every chance I get--because he is dangerous. As one of the "experts" who mislead people, he has an outsized impact on public opinion and needs to be taken down about ten pegs. https://hotair.com/david-strom/2024/11/23/neil-degrasse-tyson-is-an-ignoramus-part-deux-n3797294 1
Wacka Posted November 23 Posted November 23 I'm a PhD in Cell and Molecular biology. Ask me about anything related to that and I will talk all day in detail about it. Ask me about other sciences and I will give an informed opinion about those but will let you know that I am not educated in them. Ask me about engineering and I am still amazed they can build all those structures. Used to suscribe to National Geographic and Scientific American until about 12 years ago. That's when politics started creeping in. Tyson is an excellent communicator but is out of his league when he talks about anything besides astrophysics. I've seen him be very average about climate change or biology. Bill Nye is an Engineer/Stand-Up Comedian that did average at both. 2 1

K D Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Neil is an egomaniac that thinks because he's smart at one subject that he's the smartest person in the room at all times no matter the subject. He approaches scientific topics with a biased victim mentality. He's more activist than scientist these days. Nobody is paying him to do astrophysics so he's grifting into other subjects to make money and he just comes off like a pompous d-bag 1
reddogblitz Posted November 24 Posted November 24 Bill has had Neil on his show a few times. Although a lot of people rail on about smart he is I wouldn't know it from the way he talks. He doesn't answer questions asked. He interrupts and makes silly jokes. He thinks he's funny. I'm not saying he's not brilliant in astro physics or whatever. And I'm not gonna read his book. Maybe he's just not a good communicator.
