Popular Post eball Posted November 22 Popular Post Posted November 22 “This is the first time in like a long time that I’ve actually felt joy from winning this game,” Cooper said, “from just the way we played, from having so many guys on the team who are playmakers, and they come up and they show up when their number is called. Collectively as a group, it’s just amazing.” “It’s kind of a different place, too, Buffalo, compared to some of the other places I’ve been to. It’s a tight-knit group I would say. A lot of the guys go out together. They hang around each other 24/7, and it truly shows up on the field. It truly does.” “When you’re a kid and you’re dreaming of football, this is the stage you dream about,” Cooper said. “You don’t really dream about the games that aren’t meaningful. You’re dreaming about the meaningful games against the best teams. And so we were in it. It doesn’t come around that often, especially if you aren’t on a very good team. Any player who’s been in this league a long time, most of the guys haven’t always been on good teams. It’s just how it swings in this league.” “The Josh Allen experience, with this magnitude, it’s been phenomenal, man,” Cooper said. “Like I said before, he’s a great player. The old adage ‘Big-time players make big-time plays in big-time situations,’ and that’s exactly what he did.” “It kind of reminded me of – I was going to tell my friend this after the game – it’s like Little League, Pop Warner,” Cooper said. “It’s a Florida thing; it’s a Florida experience. But when you win the championship, you have to go up the road on your way to winning the national championship. And when you go up the road, the fans get crazier and crazier. I mean, they put rocks in glass bottles and shake them up, and everybody collectively gets so loud, and that’s what it reminded me of for some reason. But, yeah, the environment is phenomenal, for sure.” 10 2 25 18 Quote
nedboy7 Posted November 22 Posted November 22 God I’m already sick of this guy. Can we bring Diggs back? He wanted to actually win. 1 45 1 1 Quote
Mister Defense Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Go and read the comical thread where someone, just days after Cooper arrived, threw a bunch of mud on the guy's reputation. And, of course, the ignorant haters then added their own bizarre BS also without any evidence, merit--or reason to do so. I had some good fun with those yahoos in that thread! Cooper is a quiet, low key guy, who has been immensely successful, and may well help our team win a Super Bowl (or two...). And he has the kind of integrity and character that all true Bills' fans will come to have significant respect for. Hope this is the last step in his illustrious career, and his most memorable. 16 3 5 Quote
eball Posted November 22 Author Posted November 22 And remember, this is a guy who played at freaking Alabama. And the supposed “America’s Team” in Dallas. And a success-starved fan base in Cleveland. We’re different. And better. Amari is a reflective, intellectual guy. He sees it and he gets it. 11 2 2 Quote

Eastport bills Posted November 22 Posted November 22 This was really nice to see Amari buying in to the team, coaching staff and fan base. Now he becomes a potential FA to retain and when healthy produces like a #1. If he doesn’t get resigned he gives us a great option this season in the playoffs. Quote
T.E. Posted November 23 Posted November 23 For all the times I've bagged on McDermott, and there have been several, you really can't give him (and Beane) enough credit for the type of culture he built here. It's gotta be pretty damn hard to build a roster full of millionaire pro athletes who are, by and large, all humble, likeable guys who get along well with one another and consistently win year after year. 10 13 Quote

The city is so so for all manner of amenities. BUT, on Sunday afternoon ‘is there any place you’d rather be than right here, right now.’! A totally packed stadium with a mad Bills Mafia mass screaming against the visitors and going berserk when the home team scores! As a former Season Tix holder for 20 years, I tell EVERY neophyte NFL fan, if you want to get the 100% NFL experience, Buffalo is your only choice. Starts hours or days before game time and hangs in for hours after. Plus, the local Radio/ You Tube, etc. stations are 24-7-365 Bills! 2 1 Quote
strive_for_five_guy Posted November 23 Posted November 23 If you took a poll about how the general public would feel if the Buffalo Bills won the Super Bowl, I bet >90% would be happy for Bills fans. We’re a humble town with humble coaches and players, a QB with as much heart as anyone in the league. It’s our time. 2 3 1 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted November 23 Posted November 23 I'm really starting to hope we get this guy under contract on an extension. Love to see how he does with a full off-season in the system and building on timing/anticipation with Allen and in this offense. 2 2 Quote
Doc Brown Posted November 23 Posted November 23 Let's just see how the rest of this season goes with Cooper. I'm always suspicious of top end talent that gets traded multiple times. I'm hopeful his main motivation is money so he'll ball out the rest of the season to parlay it into a big contract next year. 1 2 Quote
transplantbillsfan Posted November 23 Posted November 23 I'd like a 2 year extension for sure and I think he's worth it... at a 30 year old WR price, of course. Unlike Diggs, Cooper has the size that makes it so he can last a little longer playing the X & Z. Seems like the perfect guy to groom Coleman, too. Anyone else think the 2 of them would make a great TV show? 1 Quote

The NFL thought throwing snowballs and adult toys on the field was bad enough, if everyone had rocks and bottles you'd need the opposing team to wear riot gear. Quote
