Doc Brown Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I'd love the Cowboys to sign him and have him start against the Giants on Thanksgiving. LOL. 1 Quote

I don't think everything the Bills do is perfect...I just look for the silver lining and I don't pretend that I know more than they do about certain players and coaches. I also don't "crusade" about issues and I frequently revise my position as I process information. I'm very open-minded -- something I see too rarely on this board. If you don't see the value Dawson Knox provides to this team that's your problem, not his. His contract isn't keeping the Bills from doing anything they need to do. You're very quick to label players as this or that -- I still remember your anti-Josh crusade that you carried until you started looking like a clown. Quote

They head-scatchingly bet the farm on Jones as their franchise QB and paid him $40 million per year only to demote him to 3rd (some say 4th) string and have him play practice squad safety the other day in drills. Usually a GM doesn't survive a mistake that monumental. Unless it wasn't Schoen's call. Quote

He's got a bunch of injury guaranteed money, so yeah I mean it was his call, but they'd be silly to risk an injury so just good gm'ing Edit: to clarify the good gm part I am referring to is the benching to avoid an injury guarantee, not the deal they signed him to. but.... didn't they also build in an out into that contract or am I remembering things wrong? Are we sure this isn't kinda part of the plan in a way? Have Jones as a bridge to get a new qb after the rest of the team got built up a bit first...if they're not fired, it could give a bit of a clue. Edited 13 hours ago by HardyBoy Quote

Sources not given https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/daniel-jones-safety-giants-benched-qb-scout-team/82fdf92e5c5a3457512a5ad3 Quote With Jones' decreased role, he now is doing anything he can to help the team ... even if that means playing defense. The quarterback was spotted playing safety as a member of the scout team to help the offense prepare for the Buccaneers. It should be noted that Davis Webb used to play scout team safety to help the Bills QB prepare for a game, and his willingness to help the team "however" was one of the things noted as one of the traits that made him so valuable to the Bills.
