Virgil Posted November 22 Posted November 22 I'm a firm believer that TNF should stop at the end of November and games should only be played on Sat-Mon. This late in the season, players are worn down, NCAAF is winding down, so stop messing with their days off 5 3 2 Quote

Playing on 3 days rest is insane. The law that allows the NFL to operate as a legal monopoly prohibits the league from scheduling games on Friday or Saturday during the college football season. 2 1 Quote

At the same time, I'm sure these players that get flexed into prime time still want it regardless of if it cuts out a few rest days. They grow up looking forward to playing under the lights. Quote

KC, Pittsburgh, Houston, Baltimore ALL will play 3 tough games in that same 10 day span. Those are the four teams we are directly fighting for seeding. Obviously KC losing games helps the Bills the most, but all those teams losing to each other is going to help Buffalo immensely either way. As long as Buffalo doesn’t lose more than two games the rest of the way, they will almost certainly be either the 1 or 2 seed. Edited November 22 by Billznut 3 Quote

BigDingus Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Flexing games to a different time slot within the same day is fine. Flexing them to a different date, now during weekdays? Absolutely not. You just screwed over thousands of people who already bought tickets for that game or made travel plans for a different date. But hey, at least Amazon's ratings will be better! 1 Quote

Particularly those traveling to the game that booked flights, hotels, etc. I'd think that most people flying in for the weekend game did not take Thursday off from work (or possibly even Friday) and now have to take off Thursday, and depending on where they're coming from, maybe even Wednesday. Child care may need to be found and paid for. Some flights and hotels are non-refundable and non-changeable, or if changed, at great cost. Even local fans attending the game may need to take half a day off on Thursday and may have to cancel meetings, doctor's appointments, miss their kids' games, etc. The NFL should offer refunds of the face value of the ticket when they reschedule a game, except for emergency situations. I don't know for certain, but doubt that they do. Although as a TV viewer, I may appreciate the better matchup in prime time, I still think it craps on the folks who purchased tickets and it should not be done. That's why they do it 4 weeks in advance most plane tix are cheap until you get under 22 days. Quote

So they'd lose their anti-trust exemption by playing on Saturdays. Yrs but it’s been modified since. Quote

However, as KC proved last year coming into Buffalo, the best team is the best team no matter where. I want a bye for sure, but more so, the Bills being the healthiest & best team! Quote

They destroyed Atlanta, a supposed “up and coming” team. The AFC West is becoming what everyone thought the AFC East would be this year…a legitimate three-team division. 1 Quote
