Yeah, that is why he is less insufferable. He used to say really stupid, smug things that were just annoying and incredibly biased. Now he just praises everyone, which means he is less likely to say something stupid.

Its like old hat for us... I remember looking at the MNF schedule every year and being excited to get a game or two.. I remember complaining how dissed we were in the drought we never had prime time night games... Now I am like enough already, can I just get a good old fashion 1pm sunday kick off LOL

As far as national audience ratings... I think the Sunday 4:25pm "big game" that is broadcast to the country traditionally gets the big ratings number for regular season.  It's a great time slot.

 

CBS drew 31.14 million viewer for Bills over KC.  That is the highest TV audience so far in the 2024 NFL season.

Do you live on the west coast? I don’t mind 4:25 starts, but the reason I prefer 1:00 start is if the Bills win I can then enjoy later start games. If the Bills lose I can then go to a dark room and curl up in the fetal position.

This is so true... I think when I heard him say... now the interior of the Buffalo D line is so stoudt they make it impossible to run up between the tackles... I was like... uhm... dude... not so much...

Lions-Bills listed as CBS on the bills schedule, so i'd imagine its the romo game and won't get flexed.  

 

Rams the week before is a maybe to flex to MNF, the slates pretty weak and the only other tempting one is vikings falcons, and the vikings play on MNF the next week.  At the same time that'd be 3 MNF bills games, and the cowboys-bengals will probably still draw just fine.

Nope, Sunday 4:25 is still the golden ticket!!  Flex was designed to help prevent two dogs from playing.  Seatle/GB is a big draw.  Double bonus for the NFL

if thry we’re going to move it to Monday or Thursday, Tuesday was the deadline.

 

after the SF game they could announce it on NBC if it’s going to move, or they move PIT-PHL to thst Monday night spot and kick gb-sea to 525p. Tues dc 3 is the deadline to move thst weeks games 

 

thry coukd shift game time slots or networks thry are on.

 

thry coukd do something like BUF/ DET and PIT/PHL are in solo game slots ( if not Sunday night.

 

NFC coukd have Pit- PHL at 1 pm alone, then at 425 have all the western location  games allong with others totaling 5. On cbs thry have 5 1 pm games, turn buf- det is solo 425.  Thesr coukd be flipped with buf- det only 1 pm on cbs and Pit- PHL only 425 on fox.

 

if thry move one to nbc, thrn one at 425 is exclusive snd the other network airs  all 4 western games thst havevtocair at 425.

Except the nfl overrides these protection rules all the time to get big games for more eyeballs.

 

years sgo denver and KC ( pre Mahomes) had l similar record of 9-1/10-0 type of records. They were slated for a 405 kc at den token game.  NFL moved this game to nbc even though cbs blocked it.

 

it has happened in other games as well.

 

in my post up thread thry could move games around giving each network a single game inn2 pmnand thr other has single game in 425 whivh will take it to thr most audiences es.

Me too, HATE 1pm games. Kills the entire day, which matters more earlier in the season.

 

4PM games mean I can get all sorts of work/projects done outside before the game. 

 

When the weather is like today it's fine though!
