Both the Niners and Purdy have a big decision coming up. If I was Purdy I'd take whatever they offer him. They're making him more than the other way round though, in his defence, he is making something of the system, which not all QBs can do. Quote

Put Allen on the Bengals and Burrows on the Bills. What difference would there be in the respective teams' record compared to their records now, all else being equal? Quote

Kittle, Mccafery, Samuel, Trent Williams, Juice on offence were all all pros before Purdy got there lol. I honestly don't know if there would be a difference? Burrow has thrown for over 800 yards and 9'TDs against Baltimore this year and they lost both games. I am not sure what more he can do this season Quote

In other words, there IS more that Burrows could do. Of course, if he could do what Allen can do, he wouldn't be Burrows... Quote

But when you throw for 450 yards and 5 TDS and score 35 points but your defence can't stop anyone or your kicker has missed game winning kicks in 2 games (baltimore and chargers), I put basically 0 blame on Burrow. Not too mention the horrible PI call against KC in the last seconds that set the winning kick. Even flipt those 3 games around which was out of Burrows control, and the Bengals are 7-4. Not too mention all the other times he scored 30 plus and the defence couldn't stop anyone Edited 14 hours ago by BillsFan130 Quote

Burrows is fantastic. He isn't Josh Allen. Josh all day. Quote
TheWei44 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Joe Burrow is an NFL QB. Joe Burrows doesn't play in the NFL. Here in Cincinnati, there are twin girls in my son's grade. Their last name is Burrows. Some last names have an "s" at the end and some don't. 2 Quote

His will to win was enormous in that game, but it didn't carry over to the defense or coaching. Does that make Burrows the true MVP then? (I mean, in a just world.) 1 Quote

I'm not a Dr and don't even play one on TV but my own experience makes me wonder about a rotator cuff injury. My shoulder felt fine doing just about anything but if I tried to throw it was extremely painful. Quote

I had a rotator cuff injury playing baseball and could barely lift my arm over my head without pain. Not sure how significant Purdys injury is but if it's rotator cuff, going to take some time you would think Quote

ColoradoBills Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Looking at the 49ers schedule this Green Bay game is very important to any playoff hopes for SF. They are in the basement of the NFCW (1-3 in division) and currently a 3-4 conference record. Purdy's shoulder must be pretty bad for him not to play. Dropping another conference game to GB puts them in a bad situation going forward. Currently 5-5: at GB at BUF CHI LAR at MIA DET at ARZ Quote

This is always one of my favorite takes. Why do we want to play against a team that’s better? 😂😂 Does the win count more if they have Bosa and Purdy? I thought that we were past the days of the insecure Bills fans, desperate for approval from the outside? This is so dumb. The goal is to win. The more people that they have out, the easier that is. 1 5 2 Quote

Exactly this. Regular season is about stacking wins any way possible. I would rather beat a depleted team then take the "noble loss" to a team at full strength. I don't remember anyone getting an asterisk next to a win against the Bills the last few years with our injury issues 2 Quote
Rubes Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago According to the NY Times simulator, the 49ers currently are looking at an 18% chance of making the playoffs. If they lose to the Packers, that drops to 7%. If they beat the Packers, it rises to about 30%. So this is a pretty big game for them. Not a great game to be missing your starting QB and your best defensive player. Their division is super tight right now, but the 49ers are 1-3 in the division, so their best path to the playoffs is winning their division, which means beating the Rams and Cardinals later this year. Beating the Bills is far less important to their chances. That said, if they lose to both the Packers and Bills these next two weeks, they would essentially have to win out the rest of the way. They can basically only lose 2 more games this season to even sniff the playoffs, so a loss to the Packers this week would really put their backs against the wall. 1 1 Quote
