I’ve decided to just stop reading this thread because of the devolution of discussion.  But on my way out, just felt the urge to rhetorically ask, why you’re even here?   If nothing the Bills have ever done or are doing matters, until they win the Superbowl, why not just tune out until that game?    It’s fairly clear that nothing they accomplish currently matters.  I do wonder though, if they win the Superbowl this year… does the narrative become well you can’t support them till they win 2 in a row like the Chiefs?    Some people just can’t be happy, and seem to only enjoy when they tell us all how unhappy we should be.

In an effort to contribute something,  I’ll just say I don’t think it matters Purdy or not.. If we shut down the run game we win.  I just don’t see Purdy with a sore shoulder or a backup coming to Buffalo in that weather and being able to move the ball effectively through the air.

Purdy has a decent arm but their passing game is built on timing and precision.  20 MPH gusts could really mess that up.

Did you not watch Philadelphia on Sunday night?  They are tough and physical.  If they play Detroit, it’s going to be a war.

Ya I'm with you- they don't seem to get a lot of respect but they are a damn good football team.

Didn't even have Devontae smith playing as well

Yeah I agree I think Philly gives Detroit a run - I’d say they beat them with Barkley and the receiving core they have

unreal weapons in Philly - BUT comes down to QB play and I gotta say Goff is better than Hurts as a QB

Suddenly, the Bills might have the easiest finishing schedule of any Super Bowl contender…and we’re getting healthy at the right time…things are looking up!

Detroit will be a bear, but if our Beloved Bills are healthy, we can do it.  I’m suggesting it’s very plausible we see a SB prequel.

Purdy has plenty of arm strength to deal with 20 MPH winds. Even Peterman could deal with that.

Meaning he could throw multiple picks in any weather?

Ball will sail for QBs that don't have much experience with this wind. And even some that do.

Oftentimes it's a cross wind and swirls on the locker room end of the field since there is only one tunnel that causes wind imbalances due to not having a second tunnel like all the other stadiums do.

Purdy played at Iowa St and is a professional athlete who has started 2 NFC Championship games and a Super Bowl. I'm sure he can handle wind speeds most high schoolers can

I think that video posted early in this thread is telling, where the reporter describes how weak Purdy’s arm looked in practice last Thursday. I’m no doctor, but it just doesn’t seem like something that is fixed in a week, I predict he’s riding the bench on Sunday.

Peterman couldn't throw an out route in a dome.

Really important game for them.  If he can go at all he will.  One way or another, it's hard to think he will be 100% if he does play.

Let me offer a counter argument.  While this is a very important game for SF it is the least important of their remaining games as it is out conference and out of division.  And given the expected cold temps on Sunday night there is a reason to believe they would hold Purdy out to let him heal more completely.

Aside from my Bills interest in this game, I also have Purdy in a fantasy league that I desperately need to win this week as half my roster is on the bench next week due to 6 teams having bye weeks.

With my backup Tua playing tmrw night, I was hoping for a stronger indication either way. At this point, it’s likely best to roll with Tua.

After hearing he had 1 pass in practice today, I would say he is still hurting.  You may be right.

I doubt they hold him out because it might be around 30 degrees.

They'll hold him out if he's not healthy enough to play well.
