Assuming this isn’t outright smokescreen, which is possible, it doesn’t make much sense to play him then. A road game against a non-conference opponent who they still won’t likely beat. Now with poor weather possible. It’s a long season.

I'll be shocked if we see him on Sunday. When a gambling line goes from 3.5 to 6 it means Vegas knows something significant that the public doesn't know yet. Couple that with yesterday's practice report that he threw one screen pass and that it makes me think he is out for this game. They have one more practice and a quick walkthrough before hopping on a flight to fly across the country. I expect Brandon Allen.

Besides Purdy, also questionable are frontline players Trent Williams, Nick Bosa, and Deommodore Lenoir.

Fred Warner is playing through injury.

Strategically this would be a good week for the Niners to stand down.

They know Lake Effect snow and 20 mph winds too. 22 degrees at gametime for a California team coming east.

Allen can throw it in 75 mph winds.

When did the line move from 3.5 to 6?  Haven’t the Bills been at least 6-point favorites all week?

No the line originally last week was 3.5 and jumped to -6 for this week.

SF gets pretty cold at night during winter,  maybe not 22, but I doubt they'll just fold in the cold.

These guys play with injuries that would destroy most of us,  the child won't be the deciding factor.  We're just a better team,  and missing Purdy and Williams would be huge.

Tremaine?

He signed with the Bears. And at this point he's more of a young adult.

That's humor.  I recognize that.

Sierra, don’t forget Kittle has been in and out of the lineup, amd Aiuk has been gone for awhile.  They are playing banged up.  It’s a leap on Purdy, no one knows with any certainty until Sunday afternoon who will be declared inactive.

Did you not watch Philadelphia on Sunday night?  They are tough and physical.  If they play Detroit, it’s going to be a war.

As will this weekend’s Balt/Philly game

The Niners actually play in Santa Clara, about 40 miles south of SF, which is warmer.  If this game was being played out here, it would be in the mid-50s at gametime.

Still, as you said, they don’t tend to be as affected by the colder weather as some other warm weather teams do.

I put in the gameweek thread but Williams, Bosa and Lenoi have been DNPs all week. I'd be very surprised at this stage if we see any of those three. I don't think we will see Purdy. And yea, Warner has a fractured ankle. He is playing with it.
