So this was from Schefter a couple of days ago and didn't seem like a big deal for the 49ers but there are reports today that he started practice this week for game prep against the Packers and left very early in the practice due to the soreness. Something to keep an eye on to see if this is further aggravated or turns into something more than is out there right now. Brandon Allen is the 49ers backup QB and Josh Dobbs is 3rd string. Even if he plays it might be something that bothers him the rest of the year.

I think the bigger picture here is that the team is hurting as a whole and is going through a difficult travel combination: guys like Bosa, Williams, Ward are all dinged up and they’re on the road to Green Bay…which should be a tough one.

Then they have to reload and fly cross country to Buffalo to play a team coming off of the bye. This is a huge advantage.

I have no doubts Purdy Williams and Bosa will play when they come to Orchard Park, but they will likely be feeling the pressure of the injuries and travel piling up

I believe Kittle is also dinged up, he is the top rated TE in the league.

If he plays, and it is at all windy, good luck.

If purdy does play against the bills, I am hoping for some moderate wind.

His arm strength is suspect at best even without a bad shoulder

Right at the same time!

Tough to tell with Shannahan.  He plays these stupid injury games with players. Remember how McCaffrey was a game-time decision week 1?

Correct.

But worth noting if they haven’t been practicing and are going to miss this crucial NFC game there is a good chance they’re in trouble next week too.

They’ll all be healthy for the Bills game.  I hope they are anyway.  No excuses when we beat them.

I'd rather they were banged up everywhere myself... injury excuses will be the number one cause around here if we lose that's for sure.

I'm with you. No one cries for us when injured they'll take the win regardless. It's the NFL and at the end of the year it's win or lose.

If they lose Sunday and to the Bills they are done. I imagine they try and push Purdy out there fully healthy or not and if they go 0-2 they then shut him and the season down and try and lose out.

I will take any advantage I can get
