Ridiculous that guys with clear and natural biases even have a say in postseason awards. If Mahomes gets an auto bid to the pro bowl this year because of his resume, there's a very real chance that Allen wins the MVP and doesn't get selected to the pro bowl. Â I'm assuming it would be the first time that's happened in NFL history, but not sure. 1 Quote

Last year besides (ints), his stats were much better than LJ. He is long overdue. He doesn't have to be elite in these last 6 games. Just be good and have no stinkers. 1 Quote
Scott7975 Posted November 24 Posted November 24 (edited) Â This guy is dumb. Says its just Mahomes and second Lamar for MVP. Says Allen is too much of a turnover magnet. It just never ends. Allen could have zero turnovers and they would still say he is a turnover magnet. Meanwhile Mahomes says Hi with all his turnovers. I think the pink elephant in the room is there's some racial elements involved when it comes to voting for the Pro Bowl and MVP that people are afraid to acknowledge. Especially with Allen and Lamar as both are known as great scrambling QB's. Lamar came into the league as the 5th QB taken in the draft with Bill Polian stupidly saying he should be a WR. Meanwhile, with Allen the day of the draft someone brought up some tweets of when he was a teenager that taken at face value seemed racist (even though he was quoting a TV show). I'll just leave it at that. 3 Quote

Specifically the poll was published on October 2nd. Not sure if they mentioned when it was taken...  Edit: "The Athletic’s NFL beat writers conducted the poll in August and September. The Bills may meet the Steelers in the post season - this is an attempt to get into Josh's head and hope he pushes things too far to prove Elliott wrong.  Or I could be over-thinking. 1 Quote

Besides, the MVP award lost all credibility when Lamar won it last year. It’s a dumb award and only for QBs anyways. 1 Quote
