Exactly, player voting has kept Allen out of the Pro Bowl multiple times when he was also an MVP candidate. Ridiculous that guys with clear and natural biases even have a say in postseason awards.

If Mahomes gets an auto bid to the pro bowl this year because of his resume, there's a very real chance that Allen wins the MVP and doesn't get selected to the pro bowl.

 

I'm assuming it would be the first time that's happened in NFL history, but not sure.

The question was "Who is the next active player to win their first MVP?".  Mahomes obviously wouldn't qualify since he already won one.

He could easily have won it on Aaron's consecutive years. Last year besides (ints), his stats were much better than LJ.  He is long overdue.  He doesn't have to be elite in these last 6 games. Just be good and have no stinkers.
