If Mahomes gets an auto bid to the pro bowl this year because of his resume, there's a very real chance that Allen wins the MVP and doesn't get selected to the pro bowl.

 

I'm assuming it would be the first time that's happened in NFL history, but not sure.

The question was "Who is the next active player to win their first MVP?".  Mahomes obviously wouldn't qualify since he already won one.

I have to believe some of these defensive players aren’t used to having a QB physically dominate them at will and then talk sh*t and flex on them as he heads back to the huddle.

 

 It’s really the only thing that makes sense at this point, unless we’re just going to believe these players are unintelligent low IQ humans.

I think the pink elephant in the room is there's some racial elements involved when it comes to voting for the Pro Bowl and MVP that people are afraid to acknowledge.  Especially with Allen and Lamar as both are known as great scrambling QB's.  Lamar came into the league as the 5th QB taken in the draft with Bill Polian stupidly saying he should be a WR.  Meanwhile, with Allen the day of the draft someone brought up some tweets of when he was a teenager that taken at face value seemed racist (even though he was quoting a TV show).  I'll just leave it at that.

Yes, Josh doesn't have to be statistically elite but the Bills probably need to finish 5-1 for him to win.

It could be an attempt at mind games as well. The Bills may meet the Steelers in the post season - this is an attempt to get into Josh's head and hope he pushes things too far to prove Elliott wrong.

We all know how good Allen is. I don’t need a gold star. The stats speak for themselves. Besides, the MVP award lost all credibility when Lamar won it last year. It’s a dumb award and only for QBs anyways.
