Well, the comment I was responding to said we used to hang QBs from nooses, so what’s the big deal. That’s a terrible argument. Just because we used to do things doesn’t mean they were good or we still should do them.

Yes….but that wasn’t heinous. We have to be more careful with language.

I would say hanging an effigy of an opposing QB in a noose (which is what the comment I was responding to said was done in the past) is kind of heinous. Maybe you disagree, but that’s my 2 cents.

I wouldn't do it, but im happy that the people who did it probably had a lot of fun with it, and a lot of people probably got a good laugh out of it. And it's especially important to note that at the same time it made those people happy, Patrick Mahomes almost certainly doesn't care about it even a little bit.

Definitely not heinous. There is NOBODY who thinks the person doing that actually wants to hang anyone. Geeez

In this day in age its safe to assume anyone who does use a noose as a demostration probably has nefarious thoughts to go along with it.

I have met my share of people who are this way...   Would they act on these thoughts, probably not but if the tolerance for violence continues to ramp up we will witness people increasing this type of behaviour.

For me there is better ways to Troll. Kermit in a KC jersey being run over by a Buffalo in Blue and Red, but a noose has an historic sigificance that is largely viewed as negative

According to Emily Post's Principles of Etiquette...

"stop hanging and burning effigies, you irredeemable f@#$wits."

Its a football game, not Benghazi.

Since this is brought up we ought to get a new Slogan going like Squish the Fish, we need one to imply the beating of a frog. So what ideas you all got...

- Choke the Croak?

Just saw mahomes at duffs with Allen. Overhead him saying that KC BBQ really isn't all that and that Kelce doesn't talk to him much anymore ever since he started dating Taylor Swift.

Allen bought him a beer and said "  it's okay buddy".  "After I win the super bowl we can go golfing every day".

Allen even said sometimes bills Mafia gets mad at him for golfing too much....

Every time I see this thread title, I’m wondering if a “Hanging Kermit” is kinda like a “Cleveland Steamer” kinda thing.

Sorry but I’m not going down that road. No matter how badly you want to steer there. There’s ZERO evidence that there’s any racial motive here. And NOBODY in the United States has seen or reported an uptick in lynchings. Has there been even a single one?

Because their wings are excellent?  Definitely not for the ambiance.

Allen's gone on record on his favorite Wings and Duffs not on that list. I'd believe this a tad more if he was seen at Mulberry.

there was no noose. puppets hang on a string. that puppet was hanging by a string, not around its neck but from its back from a street sign.

end of story.

How did you tie a string to a puppet's back?  Does it have a hook?

Oh no you don’t. There’s still a good 10 pages left in this flogging.

It is not something that I would do, nor do I find it particularly funny. That said, I absolutely don't care.

Holy **** we finally agree on something.
