Sweats Posted November 21 Posted November 21 I was on a construction site one time, and someone hung a noose from one of the joist beams.......someone complained about it, the Ministry of Labour was called in and the site was shut down until they could do an investigation. We could get away with that 30-40 years ago, but in today's world, it's deemed unacceptable. Mind you, we are living in an age of "hurt feelings", everything is "offensive", people are easily "triggered" (whatever the hell that means) ........i mean, thank Christ I'm old and probably don't have a whole lot of time left cause i don't like the direction we're all headed. 2 1 1 1 Quote

Shouldn’t the Ministry of Labour be more focused on removing that redundant vowel from the word Labor? 😉 1 7 Quote
ToGoGo Posted November 21 Posted November 21 If the fanbase is going to be judged by the actions of the worst drunk Bills fans, then we have no chance. Quote
Bruffalo Posted November 21 Posted November 21 Guys, it's a game. We don't need to devolve into wishing death upon a visiting team There's no reason to be hanging effigies of the other team's players. That's weird and gross. Stick to the classy stuff like "Tom Brady sits when he pees". 3 1 6 Quote

Drew21PA Posted November 21 Posted November 21 You older folks use to do this with an actual Marino doll give me a break cmon - it’s a rivalry not racism or wishing death - it’s a sport rivalry tastefully done? no but cmon the uproar is silly 6 1 1 Quote
zow2 Posted November 21 Posted November 21 The hanging doll was classless. But i'm well into middle age and just don't think stuff is funny that many young adults do. That being said, I hope others around the league realize that just a few people did that and not the whole fanbase. I've been to a bunch of Bills road games and try not to paint entire fanbases when i have bad interactions. Quote

Sure, it's funny and basically harmless but the insinuation of violence and (very likely unintentional) suggestion of a lynching is surely offensive to some. It's a Kermit doll. If they're offended, they need to grow the hell up 4 1 Quote
Irv Posted November 21 Posted November 21 This did not offend me. I am offended by b-roll shots of Niagara Falls and chicken wings every Bills home telecast. 1 1 Quote

Offended by a doll being hung up by a rope? Only babies get offended by that. We know it's not real 1 1 Quote

DapperCam Posted November 21 Posted November 21 It’s in poor taste. Probably some drunk knuckleheads trying to be funny and not actually wish harm on Mahomes, but people need to be smarter. 4 Quote

Coach Tuesday Posted November 21 Posted November 21 (edited) Can’t two things be true at the same time: 1) A lot of people are way too easily offended and search for/lean into grievances, constantly, and it’s exhausting; and 2) A lot of people are classless a-holes who find delight in provoking others and openly shirking social norms, constantly, and it’s exhausting. But in my opinion, and my opinion only, hanging a kermit is in poor taste for several reasons. Feel free to disagree. I am not losing any sleep over it, and I am sure the media will blow it way out of proportion, as they always do. 2 Quote
BringBackFergy Posted November 21 Posted November 21 The whole Mahomes talks like Kermit isn’t even funny. So this “hanging Kermit“ is equally lame. FYI - 1) Kermit was a hard working, respectful muppet. 2) He had a smoke show girlfriend Miss Piggy (and a side piece Raquel Welch) 3) Decent singing voice 4) Good swimmer. 1 4 1 Quote

Think you probably should go read some history books to understand why it would be extremely offensive and seen that way by many. Allen isn't black!?!? 😱😱 1 Quote
