He'd bring energy and fun to a lockerroom that needs it after going through Rodgers drama for 2 years The crux of his failure here was shoehorning his 3-4 scheme onto a team who's big name defensive players were suited for a 4-3. Don't have to worry about ruining a great defense here! On the other side, they'll likely be looking for a QB so an Anthony Lynne scheme (Rex's most likely OC choice) that showcases Breece Hall wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Rex showed with us that he's got far too much pride to give up whatever version of the 34 or 46 he's married to. Modern NFl defense seems like a coke binge, where you're either: 1. Playing some form of two deep shell with crazy coverage disguises. 2. Firing off Cover 0 blitzes like you don't give a *****. Rex has lots of free time, so he thinks up the perfect defense for every look, down and distance. It's just no team will ever have the time or brainpower to learn and implement them all. I remember how his whole scheme fell apart when opposing teams used this secret weapon called "hurry up". 1 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Rex's defenses require an Ed Reed or Ray Lewis type player who can process it all and get everyone on the same page. His defenses are insanely complex. That's part of the problem. He's a bit of a mad scientist drawing up all sorts of lines all over the board with tons of "if this happens do ____, but if this other thing happens do _____" 1 Quote

Kelly to Allen Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Tom Brady completely dicing us up in week 2 of 2015 and week 4 of 2012 was a master class in QB play. Absolutely destroyed us. The 12 game was like 6 straight TD drives in the second half lol. So glad Allen got payback in 20 and 21 The absolute joy I got from the December 2020 game vs bellicheat and Allen's perfect playoff game, 7 tds, 7 possessions, zero punts, no tos, kneel down was incredible. Allen eviscerated the bellicheat defense Edited 1 hour ago by Kelly to Allen Quote

I imagine being the player who has 5 possible assignments on this play depending upon what happens pre-snap, then 3 different options post snap but forgets to get out onto the field because he's running the scenarios through his head on the sidelines over and over Edited 1 hour ago by TheFunPolice 1 Quote
