I could see one of these dumpster fire franchises drafting the Sanders kid, then hiring his old man as the coach.  it would fit the behavior of some of these owners.

Deon won't allow it.

It's definitely a buffoon type coach hire and keeps the circus going but honestly I don't know who else wants the job

At least the jets would have an identity and be tough. He obviously loves the jets, his dad coached the jets...

Idk trying to see a silver lining

Devante Adams goes to Vegas to play with Derek Carr. Carr gets released. Devante Adams gets traded to the Jets to play with Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is getting benched and possibly cut.

Has bringing back an old, previously successful coach for a franchise ever helped a team win a SB?

The Raiders brought back Art Shell, then fired him after a year.

The Raiders also brought back Jon Gruden, but he accomplished nothing.

The Colts brought back Ted Marchibroda, and he got them to the playoffs once (all the way to the AFCCG) & was done after that.

The Redskins brought back Joe Gibbs, and he at least got them to the playoffs twice, but the other 2 seasons finished last in the division.

During the drought, the Bills brought back Marv as a GM, and I remember a LOT of people on the old BBMB were hoping he'd come back to coach (thankfully, he didn't). I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of anyone who actually had more success in their 2nd run than in their first.

The NFL is constantly changing and evolving, anytime a coach steps a way for a period of time and then is brought back years later is a recipe for disaster in my opinion.  It's hard to catch lightning in a bottle twice.

With the same team perhaps, but Belichick, Coughlin, Carroll, Vermeil and Reid all won Super Bowls after an unsuccessful first gig

Gruden was not very successful with the Raiders and would have been fired sooner except for the 10 year contract.

Dick Vermiel did not go back to the same team.

That is very rare.  Most coaches after a break goes to a different team

Jets also gave up a 2nd and 3rd round pick for two veterans that pry will be cut this off-season.

Oh I am not sure about that, Deon as HC in the Big Apple with that befuddled owner Woody Johnson and he gets to coach his son!  Talk about prime time, that will be an opportunity hard to pass up.

Gruden was doing fine with the Raiders.  He was fired because of that text/email thing
