Fr. Jerk Posted yesterday at 04:34 PM Posted yesterday at 04:34 PM It would almost be as good as when they announced they were hiring Adam Gase, ya dig? Quote

They still have the talent, he might be able to help. Not saying it's a wise choice or not, but despite his tenure in Buffalo, he was a pretty decent coach, especially with the defense. Ahhhh...NO! The bills will hang 40 points on the Jets in every game if the Ryan brothers take over I always remember week 2 in 2015, Rex talked so much crap all week on how to stop Tom Brady and what a great plan they had. 40-32 Pats* win. Brady had 466 yards Please please please hire him Woody! 1 Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Rex Ryan: "How many guys are we allowed to have on the field at one time?" Quote
Warcodered Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Rex Ryan shouldn't do it he's got a good thing going on T.V. getting fired by the Jets again could ruin that. Quote
TheFunPolice Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago It could very well happen. In the video I posted yesterday (1 hr+ long interview with Rex on a podcast) he said he has always wanted to continue coaching but never got a single phone call or interview. It was in response to one of the guys saying he was shocked Rex left coaching. He mentioned that he reached out to Dallas last offseason to be DC thinking that it would give him a loaded defensive roster and a way to become a HC again down the line. Quote

416BillsFan Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago File for Freezing Cold Takes but Rex could be great for the Jets. He'd bring energy and fun to a lockerroom that needs it after going through Rodgers drama for 2 years The crux of his failure here was shoehorning his 3-4 scheme onto a team who's big name defensive players were suited for a 4-3. Don't have to worry about ruining a great defense here! On the other side, they'll likely be looking for a QB so an Anthony Lynne scheme (Rex's most likely OC choice) that showcases Breece Hall wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Quote
2003Contenders Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago It is interesting because Rex made an immediate impact when he arrived on the scene to coach the Jets. They made it to the AFC Championship game his first few seasons there -- and then crashed and burned after that. When he came to Buffalo, Rex made an immediate NEGATIVE impact. Recall that when Doug M. left the Bills almost made the playoffs (9-7 record) with Kyle Orton at QB and a top notch defense coached my J. Schwartz. Rex chose to dismantle that defense and wound up regressing in a major way in virtually every category. Quote
Fleezoid Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago If Rex takes the job, ESPN will have to get some more lights because Rex Ryan's teeth won't be illuminating the studio anymore. Quote
stuvian Posted 5 hours ago Author Posted 5 hours ago I just want to hear him say "we're going to the playoffs". Quote
st pete gogolak Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I’m just going to say it again. No one - NO ONE - is that stupid. Bills should have made Schwartz HC instead of that clown who went out and destroyed what was a really, really good D under Schwartz. That’s why I always wonder about folks who call for McDermott to be canned (obviously less of that lately). If you look at Pegula’s hiring Ryan and his entire history with the Sabres, odds are he just got very lucky with McDermott and Beane. 1 Quote
stevewin Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Rex is starting to ratchet up getting his interest in the Jets HC job known out there. Yesterday on Bart Scott's show Quote "That’s what is going to separate me from all these other guys you’re going to bring in. Your Grudens or whoever. Give me a break. They ain’t New York Jets. I’m all about the Jets. And the great thing is, yeah, you get a second chance at it and that doesn’t happen very often. Well, when it does it’s usually special. We’ll find out if I get that chance or not. If not, I hope they have one hell of a guy in place cause I still want to be a fan of the Jets. I still want to be, but when I look around I know nobody is better than me." They were talking about it on Get Up this AM - interesting that was no mention of his failure with the Bills Edited 3 hours ago by stevewin Quote
