klos63 Posted yesterday at 02:14 PM Posted yesterday at 02:14 PM The Jets defense has underperformed most of the season. They still have the talent, he might be able to help. Not saying it's a wise choice or not, but despite his tenure in Buffalo, he was a pretty decent coach, especially with the defense. 2 Quote
Mat68 Posted yesterday at 02:20 PM Posted yesterday at 02:20 PM Besides Rex who else wants it? They have some pieces that Rex would make that team dangerous imo. Comes down to Qb. Aaron is probably done if he knows it or not who knows. Quote
Sweats Posted yesterday at 02:24 PM Posted yesterday at 02:24 PM But how would Rodgers handle Rex in the locker room?.......i can't see this ending well for Rex, so i don't think he would even put himself in that position IMO. Quote
shane nelson Posted yesterday at 02:45 PM Posted yesterday at 02:45 PM He was a terrible coach with the Bills, still can hear him say "we won the off season". WHAT PLEASE HIRE HIM WOODY. PLEASE!!!! Rya n Woody perfect together Quote

uticaclub Posted yesterday at 02:49 PM Posted yesterday at 02:49 PM If Rex had a better quarterback, he might still be in Buffalo. The difference between 2015-16 & 2017 is minute. I’m glad we have Sean McDermott as our coach instead of someone who arrives at the building at 8:59 for a 9:00 meeting. Rex's truck had that sick Bills wrap, though I hope he doesn't disgrace his current truck by putting Jets colors on it. Quote
RichStadiumGuy Posted yesterday at 02:57 PM Posted yesterday at 02:57 PM Cool... I wonder where he'll put his Aaron Rodgers tattoo? Quote

He would do it for money. While being a talking head earns him money it is not as much as a head coach. He could look for college coaches who want to break into NFL and give them lots of input and control who would do majority of the work. 13 minutes ago, uticaclub said: If Rex had a better quarterback, he might still be in Buffalo. GETTOTHE50 Posted yesterday at 03:21 PM Posted yesterday at 03:21 PM Since when did the jets become a women’s shoes dept? Quote
Fleezoid Posted yesterday at 03:24 PM Posted yesterday at 03:24 PM He won't be able to build a bully with Aaron Rodgers on his team. Rodgers is too absorbed with his inner self. Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted yesterday at 03:38 PM Posted yesterday at 03:38 PM While there is no way I would hire him, it’s probably the best fit for Rex if he was to get back into coaching. They have some pieces on D and some young weapons especially at RB while the new GM looks for a QB. Hope it happens, will make for some good entertainment lol 2 Quote
BarleyNY Posted yesterday at 03:39 PM Posted yesterday at 03:39 PM Hiring Wrex would be a horrifically stupid decision. So it’s probably on the table for the Jest. Could be his agent just getting his name circulating in the media though. But we can hope. 1 Quote

But one thing you talk about a Karma move for Rogers ! Can you see the headlines on that one & some of the remarks coming from the media out of the black hole !! I'm thinking that if this were to happen we might see a retirement coming from Rogers, i just couldn't see those 2 coexisting in the same stadium . That would be something all in the same stadium Dabol, Jones, Rex, Rogers, Johnson, talk about story lines galore !! Quote

I think he's interesting to listen to. And with a 61-66 record lifetime record, he would make the Jets mediocre again which would be fine for us. Quote
BearNorth Posted yesterday at 03:58 PM Posted yesterday at 03:58 PM I could see one of these dumpster fire franchises drafting the Sanders kid, then hiring his old man as the coach. it would fit the behavior of some of these owners. Quote

Heavy Kevi Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I like rex But I think it was obvious with the Bills *a decade ago* he doesn't want to put in that kind of work anymore. And that blowhard type tough guy persona just seems incompatible with the fickle hippie currently on their QB depth chart. Now if rex was ready to work and they had a grittier QB (ala Baker, Jameis, etc) this could be interesting given their defensive talent and skill potions. Quote
