I think there is a pretty good chance that Rex Ryan will be the Jet coach. Woody Johnson wants a name.   I don't think there is any "name" outside of Rex who would be willing to work for Johnson. Plus, if Johnson really does pay attention to social media, there's a lot of loud Jets fans such as Joe Benigno calling on the Jets to hire Ryan.

Woody should not give it to him considering not only how it ended for his team, but what happened in Buffalo immediately afterwards. But he might just be dumb enough to make that call.

I have watched Ryan a bit on the pregame show over the last month-+.  If you look at it the right way, it seems clear that he has been purposely going for soundbites to claim momentum for the Jets' coaching job.
