JP51 Posted Thursday at 01:55 PM Posted Thursday at 01:55 PM (edited) Here is where i take some comfort... looks like McD has finally got the message that you have to stake these guys and not just hold on for time to run out. That aggressive approach may hurt if you fail after all it is risk reward. But in the end to beat them you have to aggressively manage the risk and BEAT them. This gives me some hope for a different playoff outcome if it all falls into place. Edited Thursday at 08:24 PM by JP51 2 1 Quote
TheWeatherMan Posted Thursday at 02:18 PM Posted Thursday at 02:18 PM Don’t ask questions you don’t want the answers too. Andy Reid owns McD in the playoffs, that’s a fact. 1 Quote

But overall, what we saw last Sunday is pretty much both team playing at a high level while missing important pieces. I don't see it change much when they meet again even when all the missing pieces are back. Last Sunday, the Bills executed a little better and the coaching decisions showed quite a bit improvement from what they did against the Chiefs in the past. To finally overcome the Chiefs in the playoff, they probably don't need to overthink and make drastic changes. I agree with you that I thought the Bills coaching decisions and strategy showed improvement over some of their previous meetings. I think you bring up a key point "injuries can certainly change things". We've had some pretty bad luck with injuries playing the Chiefs in the post-season. The key and unanswerable question will be, how healthy are we next time we meet? 1 Quote
Don Otreply Posted Thursday at 04:13 PM Posted Thursday at 04:13 PM I suspect KC is going to feed our D line a steady diet of Pacheco and Hunt, along with their standard passing game, we will need to contain both the run and passing attacks, which I believe we will, fingers crossed 🤞 that we get as many guys healthy and up to speed as possible, that will go a long way towards the Bills controlling the clock and winning. 1 1 Quote
Goin Breakdown Posted Thursday at 04:22 PM Posted Thursday at 04:22 PM The Bills will Golf clap after every positive play. McD will be in his bag that game. Quote
Drew21PA Posted Thursday at 04:22 PM Posted Thursday at 04:22 PM Well - bring it on let’s go!!! im not sure we will though - I think they may get knocked off early this year in divisional or something Quote
BarleyNY Posted Thursday at 04:27 PM Posted Thursday at 04:27 PM It’ll be another nail biter if we meet again in the playoffs. Maybe we’ll get them, maybe they’ll get us. 1 Quote
Mat68 Posted Thursday at 05:00 PM Posted Thursday at 05:00 PM With a decently healthy defense and Offense they blow em out. 38-13. I dont care if they play again in Buffalo, in Kc on Mars. That was a C game from Allen. Add in Coleman, Kincaid, and Brown with a better performance from Allen and I think the offense rolls. Kc isn't currently built to play from behind and abandon the run. Imo it will be a passing of the torch literally and figuratively. Kc and their fans need to hold onto Buffalo cant beat them when it matters b.s. On the field, the matchups favor Buffalo everywhere. Mahomes is great. So is Allen. 2 Quote
Da webster guy Posted Thursday at 06:49 PM Posted Thursday at 06:49 PM The 1 seed is the cheat code. Its essentially a free playoff win, rested players and your home crowd for both games. That's why I laugh at all people saying its just another win. We went from 2 games back to a half game back. That's not "just another win". I think we go to the bowl with the 1 seed and we don't go without it. Quote
The 9 Isles Posted Thursday at 06:56 PM Posted Thursday at 06:56 PM Chris Long on his latest podcast suggests that Spagnolo was holding back some of his defensive looks for the post season. I don’t know about that, it would be some 4D chess though. Quote

Was also down its starting RT and Kc was unable to sustain a pass rush without blitzing. Im sure Spags could get more exotic. Overall Allen did a good job of taking advantage of the 0 blitz. Shakir on 3-9. Samuel TD. They did show cover 0 and drop into cover 2 on 4-2. Allen diagnosed it and beat it with his feet. 1 Quote
BigAl2526 Posted Friday at 02:36 AM Posted Friday at 02:36 AM Omenihu is a good defensive end, but I don't think he makes so much of a difference to the Chiefs' defense that the Bills O-line can't protect Josh Allen. I saw both Torrence and Van Demark handle Chris Jones one on one at various times. In theory, Spencer Brown should be better than Van Demark. Someone suggested that David Edwards struggled a bit Sunday, so the Chiefs might try to test him some more in a rematch, but I think the Bills can adjust to one slightly weak link in the offensive line. Omenihu is a big strong defensive lineman and had 7 sacks a year ago, but he's not more disruptive than Chris Jones. If Mahomes gets some of his offensive weapons (Rice and Hollywood Brown) back, he'll definitely be dangerous. A healthy Matt Milano would help neutralize that threat. Quote

They all come down to 1 or 2 plays. that’s why this media narrative of “can the bills beat KC in the playoffs?” Is bogus. There’s really nothing to do other than execute a play or two better near the end of the game. Even in this game, Josh had to convert a lot of 3rd and 8s and 9s. 1 or 2 of them dont get converted because a dropped ball or something then its a different game. What if that 4th and 2 wasnt converted (TD?) Edited Friday at 06:50 AM by Scott7975 Quote

I have to imagine we have seen most everything he would throw at us and if that is the case what is the point in holding back. The Chiefs win and they could have locked up the 1 seed, with how important that is, I doubt they would just be willing to throw that away. Quote

Let's hope the Chiefs continue to play tight games down the stretch and they need him to exert the most in the 4th quarter every game. They probably count on the first round bye to rest key and old guys like him and Kelce. At the very least I want the Chiefs to have to battle week 18 @ Denver to maintain the top seed. Most years they rest players for most of the week 18 game. Quote

Hope he has more awareness if the Chiefs try that again. Quote
