Mister Defense Posted Saturday at 06:14 AM Posted Saturday at 06:14 AM Asked about the clap after the game, Kelce said the following, from Blueneolines.com (and others): "The 35-year-old tight end was spotted applauding at the crowd after the game to acknowledge the Bills’ performance, in his defense he said “Josh and the Bills balled out, it was only fair to acknowledge them and also thank the fans for showing up despite the unfortunate outcome”. “It’s going to take your best football to beat great football teams, and we didn’t play our best football today and they went out there and beat us,” he said. “That’s how it rolls in the NFL and so all due respect to them that’s going to be a good football team that we will probably see [in the playoffs]” Mahomes also added." To me, this was how I took it when I saw it, so I think he is sincere, a sign of respect, acknowledgment to what is clearly their #1 rival, the only team that beats them regularly during the season. (And beginning in January, if they play, in the post season too.) 1 2 Quote

Mr. WEO Posted Saturday at 04:22 PM Posted Saturday at 04:22 PM triggered by clapping are we now?? Quote
boyst Posted Saturday at 10:09 PM Posted Saturday at 10:09 PM Rewatching the game - Kelce was chirping all game. The scrum he was in the middle of it running his mouth. And Humphrey and Uche were really playing the whistle out. Those two were going a little dialed up. But Kelce definitely was egging on some bad juju 1 Quote

It wasn’t just Kelce. Mahomes, Reid and a few others tried to minimize the loss. Some media even tried twisting into the idea that a loss was a good thing for the team. It’s all BS because you know that Patrick “you robbed us of greatness” Mahomes especially wanted to go 20-0. It reminds me of someone who worked really hard to prepare for a final job interview and when the don’t get the job they said “eh, I never really wanted to job anyway.” 2 1 Quote

Richard Noggin Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Eff that guy and his diminished skill set. Quote
Blank Stare Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Meh. He can say whatever he wants. They’ve earned it as back to back champs. Don’t like it? Beat them in the playoffs. Quote

somnus00 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Last season, while Mahomes and the Chiefs (and their fans) were crying about the refs correctly calling back the game winning TD for false start, Kelce was giving Josh his props for a hell of a game. Even though it was Kelce's crazy impromptu lateral TD that was called back. He's a dude that respects the game. For comparison, Mahomes complained to Josh about the refs, basically telling Josh, "you just won because of the refs." Quote

I can kind of accept the vitriol in the context of a sports rivalry; unfortunately it isn’t limited to that and is all too familiar outside sports into everyday life. Quote
