it was. There’s no other human reading of it. Kelce isn’t a bad guy and these lads are all warriors. He knew what had happened - how difficult it was - what guts it took.

nothing. he is insignificant in my life.

This is all the needs to be said about all this off-field stuff, and personality stuff.

I see some members of Bills Mafia getting in their feelings about a little clapping and I cant help but think how they'd meltdown if they were present for Bryan Cox coming out of the tunnel with his Two-Bird salute...

It appeared after the game Josh had to run Kelce down to connect with him.  Normally, Kelce goes right to Josh and hugs him.  Watching Kelce's expression on the sidelines, he seemed to be out of it...like he was thinking about something else.

Maybe he was but hurt about his girlfriend not being there. I can't believe she expects us to cheer for her or something....psst.

Man you guys must really hate him to have this reaction. I took it as tipping your cap to the opponent that just beat you. Sign of respect.

I agree.  I saw it and I interpreted it as him saying "nice job Bills, you beat us and deserve the win."  To me, that's a much classier way to do things than to make excuses about why one's team lost.  The Bills were the better team on Sunday, we know it, everyone watching it knows it, and Kelce knows it too and acknowledged it with a clap.  He understands that the rivalry is fierce and it's a big accomplishment for either team to beat the other.  Now the Bills need to take the next step and do it in the playoffs.

As to Kelce himself, I've grown tired of the media hype for the guy, but I can't fault him for living his best life.  He's a great football player nearing the end of a Hall of Fame career and he's marketing himself to the hilt, making millions and setting himself up nicely for a lucrative post-football career, all the while dating a young (relative to many of us), attractive (may not be everyone's cup of tea, but she's not ugly), billionaire pop star.  Other than jealousy, I can't see any reason to disparage him for it.  I just tune most of it out.

That was a tremendous interception by Bernard and I imagine Kelce was just acknowledging that. The Bills had their number the entire game and Kelce had a bad game, so I took it as a tip of the hat.

Much ado about nothing, some of y’all need a second hobby in a huge way, 😁👍🍸🚬

GO BILLS!!!

My second hobby is the Buffalo Sabres. So pardon me when I say that I hope Travis Kelce dies of Taylor's gonorrhea and rots in hell.

But yes: GO BILLS, indeed.

Personally, I wanted to slap him. 🙃

We all know he’s a douche, but I think that reaction was a little classless.

Don't give a damn what that douche says or does.  He is in a free fall in regards to his career.

I think he's getting ready for his next career.  He had a role in the FX series "Grotesquerie" and wasn't bad, albeit the part he played wasn't much of a dramatic stretch.

I actually respect Kelce way more than Mahomes and I think his respect for the Bills is higher than Mahomes' is.

Last year in both games the Bills played against the Chiefs I thought his dialogue with Allen was pretty classy and respectful.

And then after that regular season game last season his comments about the taunting penalty given to Allen:

Contrast all that with an interaction like this between him and Mahomes:

Really thought it was interesting how short that was.

I thought it was a legit, "You got us," acknowledgement by him.

This is football, folks.  You want class, go watch Polo.

This.

I saw the applause as props to Buffalo for beating them.  I've seen him do it before, in other games and saw it that way on those occasions too.  When you win a lot, like the Chiefs have, you become classy about it.

Don’t even know why we need to start a thread over this but hey, it’s a bye week I guess.    It was a show of respect.  Nothing more, nothing less.  If you think otherwise, go do some yard work and calm down.

I can't get to where everyone thinks he is somehow "talking trash".

Everytime I have heard post game clips of him talking with Allen he has been nothing but gracious even when they lose.

Simply think it's a situation where real recognizes real. And if you don't think KC has as much respect for the Bills and especially Josh Allen as any team and player in the league you are wrong. They are terrified of what Allen can do on the field from coaches to the players. They know Allen is the closest thing to Mahomes there is in the NFL and at times outplays him which rarely happens.

Same here. That’s how I took it as well.

I took it to mean a sign of respect at first. Clapping like, "Well done. You beat us fair and square." But then I thought he could have meant it to mock like, "Good job. You beat us again in the regular season. We'll beat you in the playoffs like we always do."

Only Kelce knows which of those he intended.

This ridiculous golf clap was obviously the ultimate mock gesture. Like saying "great you won your SB, see you in January"...even Nick Wright mocked the Bills by displaying his "4 SB Wins" banner on his show.  Trust me he was NOT congratulating the Bills.

Honestly, he doesn’t seem like a d**k at all. He’s in fact likable here and extremely respectful of the Bills: 19:25 mark here:

If he didn't mean it that way then he didn't think it through very well, either way doesn't matter ***** use it because ***** him every bit of motivation helps.
