Oh man what a good movie. Everybody...everybody was great in that one, including Craig Bierko as Max Baer. I know bud. I love Ron Howard movies. He’s so talented. This is one of my all time favorites. I love when he was asked the question what are you fighting for this time Jimmy? Yeah, Milk. My grandma who died at 92 in 2004 told me stories of the Great Depression growing up, her taking me to OLV for Sunday mass, and was enamored how they persevered. She said they put lard on their toast as they couldn’t afford butter. That’s poor. She never complained about it. Edited December 5 by machine gun kelly 1 Quote

As for NFL+ I'm boycotting because it used to be free as a season ticket holder. Now they give you a whole $40 off! Yippee 🙄 1 Quote

Yippee 🙄 We homeschool our youngest child due to other reasons so technically my wife is a teacher and we get discounts from several outlets, companies or services. Coupled that with our oldest’s student discount for college and it’s a win win. 1 Quote

That one is for your grandmother. 👊 1 Quote

boyst Posted December 7 Posted December 7 The more I see of the Lions the most important thing I'm realizing is we need to come out of this uninjured. There are a ton of Lions players hurt. And they've hurt a lot of people. And Kirby Joseph could really derail our season. The lions wide open play hurts them as much as other teams. Their insistance to go for it a lot, with high intensity all the time, and play the tough game won't get them 21 wins. 2 Quote
Harold Jackson Posted December 7 Posted December 7 It doesn't matter whether they win this or not. They'll win all their division games after. If they win this, great! But they already have division and 1 or 2 wrapped up. Odds are great this year that KC loses an early round. Everything will go through Buffalo regardless. Quote

zow2 Posted December 7 Posted December 7 As much as Detroit will be promoted as the game of the year it’s not a must win for Buffalo. It just isn’t. Must wins are reserved for clinching a playoff berth type games and for the playoffs (elimination games). I want to beat Detroit, i will be rooting hard for Buffalo, but if they don’t win I’m not losing any sleep over it. Get outta there healthy. Quote
Harold Jackson Posted December 7 Posted December 7 One has clinched division. One has clinched playoffs spot. There's absolutely no reason for this game to be anything more than a hardcore live practice for either team. Vanilla play calls and experimenting. Or it ends up looking like a shootout because neither team will try very hard on defense. For the purpose of no injuries to themselves. Or it exposes how lucky Detroit has been up to now. There's no way in hell Campbell succeeds on 4 fourth downs in a game ever again. 3 Quote

To your point, that’s why i would prefer to play Houston and/or Baltimore at some point in the playoffs. It’s very hard to defeat a good team twice in a season. I like the edge we would have over them with the chip on our shoulder. Quote

The two games are basically independent events. Like flipping a coin. Only after two coin flips can we say "wow!" it came up heads twice (equivalent to two wins) but that is only a 25% chance. Just like the gambler's fallacy where if the roulette wheel lands on "5" or "black", you think no way it'll be "5" or "black" next spin. The odds don't change, though, so "5" is just as likely as before and the same for "black" . . . Rant over!! Quote
