wjag Posted yesterday at 03:17 PM Posted yesterday at 03:17 PM Detroit has lost two key pieces on their Defense. Hutchinson (season) and Anzalone (6-8 weeks). Plus they have to play one more game than Buffalo before they meet. Although they have a 10 day breaks between their game and Buffalo. 2 Quote
Mat68 Posted yesterday at 03:41 PM Posted yesterday at 03:41 PM Game of year will be in January. I think it will be a very good game. Win or lose wont affect much imo. I think Buffalo is equipped to handle Detroit. Have the offense to give them fits. Have the back half to give Geoff problems. 1 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted yesterday at 03:43 PM Posted yesterday at 03:43 PM It's going to be EPIC! Hopefully we'll be healthy. It's a real bummer for them that Huchinson was injured 1 1 Quote
bigK14094 Posted yesterday at 03:57 PM Posted yesterday at 03:57 PM Ford Field is a nice venue. tough out for the Bills though. Still, a relatively even match for heavyweights. 1 Quote

Gregg Posted yesterday at 05:51 PM Posted yesterday at 05:51 PM (edited) Is their anyone in the NFC who could stop them from getting to the Super Bowl. Eagles have won 6 in a row. Green Bay, Minnesota? Divisional rivalry games are usually close since the teams know each other well. Maybe if SF gets healthy then they have a roster to do it, but it does feel like the Lions will represent the NFC in Feb unless injuries derail their season. Call it being a lifetime Bills fan, always waiting for the other shoe to drop, but I've mainly been hoping to see Allen win an MVP & beat KC in the playoffs. Super Bowl hasn't been something I truly thought was possible this season, but a win over the Lions & the Chiefs would certainly change that. I am with you, I dont wanna talk 1a or 1b or power rankings... just get to the playoffs healthy and lets talk. Quote

Steptide Posted yesterday at 06:19 PM Posted yesterday at 06:19 PM This is one game that I honestly don't care if we lose. I mean, yes if we have the chance to be the one seed, then try and win, but if we have the division locked up by then and we're trying to get to the post season healthy, then whatever. Also, Goff is prone to mistakes, so I can see the bills winning this one, but on paper this is probably our toughest remaining game Quote

We won that game by the slimmest of margins 28-25 with Allen going nearly the length of the field in seconds to set up a game winning field goal. Detroit had us on the ropes in that game. We were totally off balance on defense often seeing Detroit run the ball on third down regardless of distance. They went 3 for 3 that day on 4th down conversions. It had that "escape" feel when it was over. It likely only went that direction as a result of Detroit getting too conservative at the very end, opting for a field goal in 4th and short vs going for it with a first down likely ending the game. Since that game the collective record of the two teams is 55-18. Detroit has a 1.5 game edge on us since then. We will be facing elite coaching, excellent power run game and rightfully, the current Super Bowl favorite. We will have aspirations of the #1 seed on the line as Detroit is far and away the hardest game left on our schedule. Detroit is also becoming a rather difficult place to play. It's pretty simple to me, if we really want to know how this team stacks up for a potential Super Bowl run you will know after that game. They can throw haymaker and have balance like the Colts, Bengals, Titans, and Ravens in the past, teams that were able to knock us out when so few can. They're very hard nose. Houston just beat the living crap out of them and they found a way. As all this relates to the timing of the KC game, well, massive win, clearly. They either round into playoff form, at which point I will have a hard time drawing any conclusions from it or they won't, at which point we have bigger fish to fry. Detroit being the biggest if we can eventually make it that far. I just don't see anybody in the NFC pushing them. Another side note, being from that area, a Detroit & Buffalo Super Bowl would be epic. I also imagine it would be a massive ratings draw. Already getting chills for this one. the dealine to move it Monday passed yesterday. thry coukd move this to nbc/ Sunday night problrm is it’s not solo. Thry have to west coast games scheduled on cbs. the s7nday night is gb at seattle which they could flex out. this is also a dual DH week with Pitt- PHL on Fox. option 1 pitt-PHL goes to nbc cbs goes solo 4 west coast games on Fox at 425 they shift a few 1 pm Fox to cbs they could shift bills to fox and other late ones to cbs. option 2 they could have one of bills- lions or Steelers-eagles fly solo at 1 pm, then other games moved to 425 option 3 they just move bills game to nbc and give cbs the gb-sea. Will cbs let this happen. cbs top crew did the chiefs and would do they bills- lions game. I don’t see them doing others this season if try flipped sf-bills to cbs they would get the bills again. week 15 CBS 1 pm. Kc-CLE, balt- giants, Mia- hou, fox 1 pm Cincy- tenn, wash- saints, Dallas- Carolina, jets- jags cbs 425 bills-lions, colts- broncos, pats- raiders fox 425 bucs-chargers, Steelers-eagles nbc packers- Seahawks 2 Quote
DapperCam Posted yesterday at 06:30 PM Posted yesterday at 06:30 PM I think the Lions will run all game, and make the Bills prove that they can stop it. That is what Reid should have done. If the Bills offense shows up I think we will win. Should be a close and good game though. 2 Quote

The RB room is similar, Kincaid and Laporta are similar but Kincaid has more elite skills. Knox is better than any of the lions other tes. Shakir is a faster version of amon ra. Buffalo has better wrs outside that. Buffalo has a much greater QB who doesn't need a powerful running game to still be great. That has been proven over the years ad nauseum and was proven yet again vs the second best team in the NFL with the chiefs... Buffalo has better edges and can get an organic pass rush. The lions can't without hutch. Buffalo lbs are better especially with Milano back and anzalone hurt. CBS are even but Benford is the best right now and Douglas/ Elam have more experience. Lions have better safety talent Edited yesterday at 07:53 PM by Kelly to Allen Quote

I agree, we are certainly SB contenders...but Allen is far from a "lock" for MVP. He is, and should be, the betting favorite and front runner right now, but its a narrow lead. But any hiccup and he will fall back behind again on any given week. 1 Quote
