He will win offensive player of the year I think.  They will co MVP this year Allen and Lamar

I kind of hope it isn't shared. I think I'd prefer Lamar to win outright than Josh having co-MVP attached to him. Cheapens it. But that might just be me!

There’s just no method to share it idk where this idea is even coming from.

We already know first hand for that. Crazy 4th down catch in the game against us

There’s no co-MVP, not unless they are changing the parameters of this award and making it all about stats, and knowing they shouldn’t give it to the lower seeded QB

How can they co mvp? Lol are all the sportswriters gonna collude and share their votes with eachother?

Let's be honest, it's going to Lamar or mahomes until Josh has 68% + season completion %, 4500+ yards passing and 45 passing TD's with less than 10 picks.  Even with that he will need to be #1 in all those stats, the Bills in the AFCE and 1-3 seed.

I don't  see them willing to give it to him then

Not sure if it's a thing now, but it was shared between Peyton Manning and Steve McNair in 2003.

The award is based on 50 voters. To be co-MVP it would have to be 25-25.

I’m not sure if anything changed since then but now the guys would have to tie in the voting then they can choose to not hold a run off and split the award

it’s not something they can just all agree on from the start

Manning and McNair each recieved 16 votes, hence the tie. Ranked voting (1-5) was introduced last year so I think it'll be virtually impossible for a tie now.

I think at the end of the day, the narrative around how the Bills season was supposed to go and the lost of Diggs, with how it finished, will be enough for him to win it.

I’d be shocked if he doesnt win it this year…odds are probably in the 85-90% range that he gets it.  I think a lot of this is our fanbase panicking as usual lol

it certainly won’t be unanimous though

Well and I believe each voter has a 1 thru  5 vote, with the player ranked 1 getting the highest weight.  So it’s even more complicated than 25-25 and less likely a co-MVP could happen.

Barry Sanders & Brett Favre were co-MVPs in 1997.

I hadn't thought about the voters making a split this year, but it has happened before.

Voters can't decide that it's only the stats NOW.

A lot of the same guys claiming stats is all that matters now were saying over the summer that the ONLY silver lining for Allen in having his top 2 WR's & center gone was that if he had a great year and the Bills won the division he was a lock for the MVP.  Funny how that has changed.

It’s like impossible to do that the way the voting works now.  It’s a ranked choice system pretty much where you rank your top picks and each final position is assigned a point total

back in the day it was each voter picked one person and you compared the totals

last year josh was the only other player to have a first place vote but he was actually like fifth overall in the point totals

the voters didn’t all just decide to skip voting and award it to two guys those past times it happened…the overall vote was just tied and they decided to not have a revote
